The mid-season January transfer window is reaching its climax for Premier League clubs, with just a number of hours left to seal the deals that could transform their seasons.

Football transfer news is dominating the agenda of every club and every sports news desk, with non-stop talk of big-money signings and changes to squads.

Deadline Day: Every confirmed transfer around Europe

Of course, clubs have until 11pm on Monday, 31 January to complete their business in England, with the windows in Germany and Italy shutting earlier. In Spain and France, meanwhile, the deadline arrives at the same point.

FOOTBALLTRANSFERS' MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD

It took a long time before the Premier League's big clubs really sparked into action.

Indeed, of the traditional big six, it wasn't until January 30 for any of these clubs to make an official signing. It was worth the wait as they signed Luis Diaz for an eventual €60 million from Porto.

The first signing of the January transfer window was actually made way back on November 4 as Watford paid Sparta Rotterdam £6.3m for goalkeeper Maduka Odoye. The Hornets have been extremely busy in January with seven purchases. Will they help Watford beat the drop?

The first sale of the January window by a Premier League club came on December 28 when Man City received a club record fee of £55m (€65m) from Barcelona for Ferran Torres.

On 1 January, Everton announced the signing of full-back Vitaliy Mykolenko from Dynamo Kyiv for £19m, then signed Rangers full-back Nathan Patterson a few days later for a similar fee.

Brighton made a very notable signing on January 5 as they captured Poland international Kacper Kozlowski, who is the youngest player ever at the Euros. The 18-year-old was immediately loaned to Belgian club Royale Union St-Gilloise.

On January 7, Newcastle finally kicked off their January transfer window in style by completing the signing of Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid for a reported fee of £12 million. They followed that up by signing Burnley striker Chris Wood for a remarkable £27 million and then Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon for £42m.

Aston Villa made a notable signing as they brought Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona on loan, before dropping a substantial amount of money on Everton left-back Lucas Digne.

On January 29, Wolves allowed Adama Traore to return to Barcelona on loan.

Deadline Day itself was as busy as ever and it was kicked off with the romantic signing by Brentford of Christian Eriksen on a six-month contract.

Midway through the day, Man City bought Argentine wonderkid Julian Alvarez from River Plate, although he will remain in his homeland on loan until the end of the campaign.

This page will be updated regularly to detail every Premier League transfer by every club in January, both ins and out.
