Transfer Rumours: Alex Scott deal greenlit as Man Utd get serious over January signing
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 14 October, including the latest updates on Alex Scott, Dion Beljo and Kevin Schade.
Scott available
Bournemouth have changed their not-for-sale stance on Alex Scott, the BBC understands.
The Cherries were previously adamant that the England star would be going nowhere until next summer, but after decisive talks with his representatives, they are willing to listen to January offers in the region of €118 million.
However, this is predicated on a healthy position in the Premier League table. If relegation looks a distinct possibility, they are unlikely to sell mid-season. Chelsea and Liverpool are known to have a strong interest in Scott.
Man Utd serious about striker signing
Man Utd are planning to sign a striker in January and are monitoring Dinamo Zagreb hitman Dion Beljo, TEAMtalk claims.
The Croatia international has been in incredible form since joining Zagreb last year after a dire spell at Bundesliga side Augsburg, bagging 50 goals in 61 appearances, including 12 in 13 this season.
Beljo's form has attracted the attention of Man Utd, but Everton, Tottenham and more clubs are also keeping tabs on him. With Joshua Zirkzee facing an uncertain future, the Red Devils are scouring the market for attacking reinforcements.
Brentford could sell Schade
Brentford are willing to listen to offers north of €70m for Kevin Schade in January, Sky Germany reports.
The Germany international is on the radar of numerous top clubs after a strong start to the season, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the teams associated with a possible move in 2027. A transfer could materialise as early as January if the price is right.
Brentford are under no pressure to sell - and they are reportedly keen to extend Schade's contract - but a fee in excess of €70m would be deemed too good to turn down.
Jakupovic in demand
The same outlet also states that Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs interested in Philadelphia Union striker Malik Jakupovic.
The 17-year-old made his first-team debut in February, but he has only been used as a substitute so far. He did, however, score his first senior goal last month. Jakupovic turns 18 next June.
While he is on the radar of Chelsea, Salzburg, Stuttgart and Monaco, it is Dortmund who are showing the strongest interest. In the summer, they had offers worth €2m and €3m, respectively, turned down by the Union, who want more than €10m for Jakupovic.
Pogba's next move?
Paul Pogba's "most likely next destination" is Major League Soccer, as per the Daily Mail.
The 2018 World Cup winner has been a free agent since leaving Monaco in August. Pogba signed for the Ligue 1 side after serving his 18-month doping suspension, but fitness problems restricted him to just six appearances last season.
A move within Europe or to Saudi Arabia is unlikely, with MLS the most realistic option now. DC United have priority rights to negotiate with him and held talks before he joined Monaco. Inter Miami and NYCFC were previously linked with Pogba.
