Besiktas make Gallagher offer

Besiktas have made an ambitious offer for Tottenham midfielder Conor Gallagher, Sozcu Gazetesi claims.

The Turkish side's manager, Vincenzo Italiano, is determined to strengthen his midfield and is understood to be a big admirer of the Englishman. Besiktas have sought to test the water with a loan bid for Gallagher. The outlet provides no information on the response to the offer.

Gallagher only joined Tottenham in January, but he failed to impress last season. Spurs have spent big on midfielders this summer, so he could struggle for minutes.

Arsenal in Torres talks

Arsenal are in contact with the camp of Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, as per CaughtOffside.

The Gunners are exploring alternative options after missing out on Vinicius Jr, with Torres now among the players under consideration. Arsenal are keeping tabs on the World Cup winner's situation amid ongoing uncertainty over his future.

The player was strongly linked with PSG earlier this summer, but it is not clear whether or not Barcelona are actively looking to sell. They need funds to balance the books, but they are already short on forward options.

Barcola bid

Liverpool are accelerating their pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola and are poised to make an opening €115 million bid, L'Equipe understands.

The French outlet expects the offer to be rejected, with PSG determined to receive significantly more before sanctioning the 23-year-old's exit, but the bid means that discussions are entering a more advanced stage.

Meanwhile, The Independent writes that Arsenal also remain interested, although it is acknowledged that they are playing catch-up. Liverpool secured buy-in from the France international, while the Gunners were busy courting Vinicius Jr.

Rodri sweetener?

Man City are among the clubs interested in Barcelona midfielder Tommy Marques, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans are confident of agreeing a deal for Cityzens star Rodri. In order to sweeten the deal, they could send 19-year-old Marques to the Etihad, who would then likely be loaned to City Football Group sister club Girona.

At present, however, Portuguese side Braga are pushing the hardest for the youngster, who is keen to leave in order to gain first-team experience. Borussia Dortmund are also interested, while Barcelona would prefer to retain a buy-back clause in the event of a sale.

Surprise Man Utd chance?

Barcelona are unwilling to pay the €16m release clause of Racing Santander left-back Jorge Salinas, Sport states.

The teenager is keen to link up with the LaLiga champions, but Racing insist that the only way to sign him this summer is via his clause, which doubled from €8m to €16m following the club's promotion to LaLiga.

This presents Man Utd with an opportunity, TEAMtalk claims. Salinas is one of their key alternatives to Newcastle star Lewis Hall, and they are willing to trigger his exit clause if they can secure buy-in from the player.
