Arsenal prioritise Fernandes

Arsenal are prioritising West Ham star Mateus Fernandes as their preferred midfield target, CaughtOffside claims.

The Gunners are in the market for a new midfielder and have been strongly linked with Sandro Tonali of Newcastle in recent days. He is one name being considered, but Arsenal prefer the younger Fernandes.

West Ham are said to be demanding north of €80 million for the Portugal international, but it is no secret that they need to raise significant funds from sales this summer. They will likely have to lower their demands over the course of the summer.

Man Utd to bid for Tonali

The same outlet also asserts that Man Utd are ready to "test the waters" for the aforementioned Tonali with a bid.

Man Utd are believed to be leading the chase for the Newcastle star because Arsenal and Man City are focusing on different options in Fernandes and Elliot Anderson, respectively.

Newcastle don't want to sell and have slapped a price tag of over €100m on Tonali, but Man Utd will look to test their resolve with a bid that could potentially exceed the €90m mark.

Alvarez to Arsenal?

Arsenal are now the "only realistic option" for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez, according to Cadena SER.

His proposed move to Barcelona is off the table at present due to the breakdown in the relationship between the two clubs following the Catalans' well-publicised €100m bid for the Argentine.

This leaves Arsenal as the only genuine contenders for his signature, but Alvarez is not interested in returning to the Premier League after his time at Man City. It is therefore believed that he will stay at Atleti.

Trincao to replace Salah?

Sporting CP forward Francisco Trincao is the "chosen one" to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool, Correio de Manha writes.

Liverpool are planning to make at least one winger signing as club legend Salah is set to have his contract terminated, and Trincao has been mentioned as a possible option for months.

The Portuguese outlet claims that Liverpool's desire to sign the 26-year-old has not changed despite the sacking of Arne Slot and subsequent appointment of Andoni Iraola.

Greenwood to Fenerbahce

Marseille forward Mason Greenwood has an agreement on personal terms to join Fenerbahce, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

Hakan Safi, one of the candidates for the Turkish giants' upcoming presidential election, has claimed that he will sign the English forward if he wins. According to Romano, it is true that Safi has an agreement with Greenwood.

However, Safi still needs to settle on a fee with Marseille, who are demanding up to €55m for the attacker. Man Utd are closely following these developments as they are entitled to a hefty chunk of the fee courtesy of a sell-on clause.
