Ansu Fati’s permanent departure from Barcelona, Mason Greenwood’s proposed move to Fenerbahce and Real Madrid’s pursuit of Michael Olise headline the latest transfer update from Fabrizio Romano, while Liverpool remain adamant that Rio Ngumoha is not for sale.

Ansu Fati completes permanent Monaco move

Barcelona stand to gain a significant transfer windfall that will help their financial position thanks to the sale of Ansu Fati being concluded on Friday.

“Everything has been formally completed today,” Romano explained to his YouTube channel.

“Ansu Fati is no longer a Barcelona player and is joining Monaco on a permanent deal.

“After scoring 11 goals in his first season in Ligue 1 while playing for Monaco last season, Ansu Fati will stay in Monaco on a permanent deal.

“Barcelona will maintain a sell-on clause, not a buyback clause.

“But in case Barcelona one day want to bring Ansu Fati back, they will have to pay way less than other clubs because of the clause they included in this agreement with Monaco.

“Ansu Fati already spoke with Filipe Luis, who is going to be the new manager of Monaco.

“And so now everything is set to be announced, with Ansu Fati staying at Monaco and leaving Barcelona on a permanent deal.”

Mason Greenwood agrees terms with Fenerbahce

Romano then revealed a major development regarding Mason Greenwood's future – one that could see a huge sum of money head back to Manchester United, who still hold a sizeable sell-on clause for the once-capped England player.

“From Turkey there is a bomba coming directly from one of the candidates to become the new Fenerbahce president,” Romano said.

“Hakan Safi has announced officially today that he has reached an agreement with Mason Greenwood: a four-year contract is done with the player.

“As confirmation, Greenwood himself has started following Safi on Instagram and liking posts about his future. Greenwood is sending clear messages towards Fenerbahce.

“The deal depends on an agreement with Marseille, who want around €50m to €55m.

“And it also depends on the elections. Safi has to be elected in order for Greenwood to go to Fenerbahce. But for sure, the agreement on the player side is done.”

Romano added that Roma remain interested.

“Roma remain interested in Greenwood.

“The manager of Roma, Gian Piero Gasperini, is obsessed with Greenwood.

“They still want the player in case he doesn't join Fenerbahce.

“But Fenerbahce are going all in.”

Manchester United monitoring Greenwood sale closely

Romano also explained why Manchester United are watching developments carefully.

“This Mason Greenwood story also has an impact on Manchester United,” Romano said.

“Manchester United have a heavy sell-on clause included in the deal with Marseille.

“And it's not five, seven or ten percent. It's more than this. This could be extra money into Manchester United's pockets this summer if Mason Greenwood leaves Marseille for significant money.

“With Fenerbahce reaching an agreement with the player, we will see what happens with the elections and with Marseille.”

Liverpool have no intention of selling Rio Ngumoha

Romano also addressed growing speculation surrounding Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha, who has been linked with a shock move to Bayern Munich.

“There have been many stories coming from Germany and England about Bayern negotiating to sign Rio Ngumoha,” Romano explained.

“What I can tell you is that it's quite obvious to appreciate a player like Rio. “This is a fantastic talent, one of the best young wingers in the world.

“Liverpool's position is strong and clear: Liverpool have zero intention to negotiate a transfer fee, to sit at the table and discuss Rio Ngumoha. Zero. No chance, they say from Liverpool. No chance at all to let Rio Ngumoha leave.”

Romano believes Liverpool view the teenager as a key part of their future.

“For Liverpool, Rio is first of all a masterpiece of the management team,” he explained.

“When they signed him from Chelsea, he was just a talented young kid.

“Now he has become one of the most talented wingers in the game.

“Liverpool also made him sign a new contract a few months ago, his first professional contract.

“Liverpool absolutely count on Rio Ngumoha.

“And that's a club decision apart from Andoni Iraola, who obviously loves to work with young players.

“But in general, Liverpool can't imagine an exit for Rio Ngumoha.”

Liverpool could face Cody Gakpo decision

Romano finished by discussing Liverpool's winger situation.

“We have to see what happens around Cody Gakpo in case Liverpool receive an important proposal,” he said. “Because there is interest in Cody Gakpo.

“Then it's going to be on Liverpool to decide whether he's going to stay or leave.

“There is going to be a club decision together with Andoni Iraola.

“But don't forget that Liverpool are very busy with wingers.

“They are in the race for Yan Diomande but not only him.

“Liverpool are living a really important moment when it comes to making decisions on wingers.”

Real Madrid preparing move for Michael Olise

Romano then returned to Real Madrid's pursuit of Bayern Munich star Michael Olise.

“Michael Olise is the story of the day for sure,” Romano said.

“Real Madrid are expected to send this €150m bid to Bayern next week. We will see Bayern's reaction. We will see Bayern's feeling on this Michael Olise story.”

Romano stressed that Bayern's stance remains extremely firm.

“People from Bayern point again to the quotes by Uli Hoeness,” he said. “As I told you, he's not just an important person at Bayern. He's one of the key decision-makers together with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

“The message from Bayern was very clear in May. Not even for €200m is he for sale. He's a crucial player for us. No chance.”

Romano also revealed why Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is so determined to pursue the Bayern winger.

“I can tell you that Florentino Perez has completely fallen in love with Michael Olise,” Romano explained. “I can tell you that Florentino Perez believes Olise could be the perfect addition to bring the magic back to the Bernabeu.

“With a new face, with a new player, not just a new coach like Jose Mourinho, but also another top player up front.

“So Real Madrid will try.”

Tottenham pushing for Savinho deal

Romano also provided an update on Tottenham's pursuit of Savinho.

“Tottenham are going for Savinho from Manchester City,” Romano said.

“Tottenham feel that the player wants the move. They feel that Savinho, already one year ago, was ready to join.

“Today there were some reports from Brazil saying Savinho was not convinced one year ago. It's not true from what I'm hearing. Savinho was ready to go to Tottenham one year ago.

“Then if Manchester City tell you that you have to stay because Pep Guardiola trusts you, obviously Savinho was more than happy to stay, continue and sign a new contract as he did in September.

“But Savinho was attracted by Tottenham one year ago and is again attracted by Tottenham today. On the player side, I don't see big issues.

“I think Savinho and Tottenham on the player side can get done quite soon.

“Now it's on Manchester City and Tottenham to negotiate and discuss the transfer fee.”
