The Italy international has been heavily linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s side in recent weeks and FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal are eager to finalise a deal for the 25-year-old when the 2026 summer transfer window opens.

Manchester United have been tipped to rival Arsenal for the Italian’s signature this summer, amid their pursuit of a replacement for Casemiro, although both clubs will face competition from Real Madrid, as per The Sun.

Los Blancos failed to replace Luka Modric last year, following his departure to AC Milan on a Bosman deal, and it’s claimed that Real Madrid scouts were in attendance to watch Tonali in action during Newcastle’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday evening

Ibrahim Sangare to Man Utd?

Manchester United have reportedly added Ibrahim Sangare to their transfer wishlist for the upcoming summer window amid their pursuit of a new central midfielder.

Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba, Bruno Guimaraes and Joao Gomes have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks, while the 13-time Premier League champions are now ready to pursue a summer deal for Sangare, as per CaughtOffside.

It’s claimed that Man Utd scouts have been left “impressed” by Sangare’s form this season and view him as a cost-effective potential replacement for Casemiro.

Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and West Ham United are also interested in signing Sangare this summer, with Nottingham Forest expected to demand a fee of roughly €50 million to sanction a sale ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Arsenal target bold Khvicha Kvaratskhelia deal

Arsenal want to “break the transfer market” by completing a blockbuster deal for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, according to Fichajes.

Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to sign a new left winger ahead of the 2026-27 season, amid rumours that Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard may depart, and Kvaratskhelia has now emerged as their latest target for the role.

Rumours in the French media suggest that Kvaratskhelia’s team-mate aren’t pleased with his current form and while he is yet to express a desire to leave, the Georgia international could be on the move later this year.

Liverpool eye Murillo

Liverpool are reportedly preparing an €80m summer bid for Nottingham Forest defender Murillo as they search for a replacement for Ibrahima Konate.

Konate, 26, is currently set to leave Anfield when his contract expires in July and despite rumours that an extension could be agreed with the Frenchman, he is yet to pen fresh terms with Arne Slot’s side.

As a result, the Reds are now planning for life without Konate next season and they have added Murillo to their transfer wishlist amid their pursuit of a new centre-back.

That is according to a report from Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that an €80m offer is being prepared by Liverpool officials as they look to tempt Nottingham Forest into a sale during the 2026 summer transfer window.
