According to L’Equipe, Lukeba could be set to leave Leipzig this summer after three years with the German side, with the Premier League or La Liga the most likely destinations.

An Arsenal scout is said to have been at Leipzig’s 2-2 draw with Dortmund in February to observe Lukeba, who has made 20 apperarances for his side this in the league this season.

As of now, now offer has been made to the player or club but Leipzig are keen to leverage the interest in Lukeba in order to receive a fee of around €60-70 million.

The Spain international was widely tipped to secure an Emirates Stadium switch last year, but he ultimately opted to snub significant transfer interest in favour of signing a lucrative new contract at San Mames.

However, it’s reported that Athletic Club officials are now willing to sanction a sale if they receive a suitable offer this summer, with Fichajes claiming that €80m could be enough to secure his signature ahead of next campaign.

Despite interest from Chelsea and Man Utd, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly asked the club to closely monitor a potential move for Williams, with the Gunners potentially set to offload either Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard this summer.

Williams is viewed as a perfect replacement and Arsenal are likely to intensify their pursuit of his signature over the coming weeks if Athletic Club are, in fact, willing to accept a summer transfer.

Atletico Madrid give Arsenal Alvarez hope

Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Julian Alvarez following reports that Atletico Madrid will not sell the forward to Barcelona this summer.

Alvarez, 26, has been earmarked as one of Arsenal’s priority transfer targets ahead of next season and Mikel Arteta’s side are expected to challenge for his signature as they look to land a new centre forward amid Viktor Gyokeres’ struggles this year.

Barcelona have also been heavily linked with a move for the 26-year-old, although Spanish publication Sport claim that Atletico Madrid have no intention of selling Alvarez to their La Liga rivals.

It’s reported that Atleti officials are frustrated by Barcelona’s public pursuit of the Argentina centre forward and the Blaugrana have been informed that a move will almost be impossible to finalise this summer.

Arsenal are therefore now regarded as the frontrunners to sign Alvarez, although Atletico Madrid will demand a fee close to €150 million to sanction a sale this summer, as per Sport.

Arsenal study Livramento transfer

Arsenal’s interest in Tino Livramento, which was exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers in January, has been confirmed by The Telegraph.

The Newcastle right-back has yet to show any intention of renewing his contract with Eddie Howe’s side, although this only expires in 2028.

The Gunners, meanwhile, are prioritising the full-back areas to be strengthened ahead of the transfer window in the summer.

While Manchester City have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, Fabrizio Romano says that their interest has passed.

Calafiori attracts Chelsea interest

Arsenal could face interest from Chelsea in Riccardo Calafiori this summer, with the Blues looking to take advantage of the Italian’s uncertain future.

Calafiori has been an integral player under Mikel Arteta since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium but the Italian has fallen behind Piero Hincapie in the pecking order in recent weeks and he has only amassed 163 minutes of action in Arsenal’s last nine matches.

Chelsea have subsequently added Calafiori to their 2026 transfer wishlist according to a shock report from Blues journalist Simon Phillips, who claims that Liam Rosenior’s side are exploring a potential summer move for the Arsenal star.

It’s stated that Calafiori could be open to leaving the Gunners if a suitable bid arrives and the Italian is reportedly eager to play consistent football as a central defender, rather than at left-back.
