Chelsea’s Emmanuel Emegha plan confirmed

Chelsea will not sign Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha in January, despite Liam Delap’s recent shoulder injury.

The ex-England U21 international will be ruled out for the next eight weeks following a tussle with Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi and his injury led to speculation that Chelsea could bring forward the signing of Emegha, who has agreed to join the Blues at the end of the season.

However, according to the Daily Mail, plans surrounding Emegha have not changed and Chelsea will instead look to options within to replace Delap, with Marc Guiu set to be handed a bigger role in the coming weeks.

Celtic chase Stefan Ortega

Celtic are reportedly plotting a move for Manchester City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega when his contract expires at the end of the 2025-26 season.

That is according to a report from Football Insider, who report that Ortega has been identified as a possible new signing by the Bhoys hierarchy as they look to bolster the first-team squad available to new head coach Wilfried Nancy.
