Manchester United are long-standing admirers of Atalanta midfielder Ederson, but they are also keeping tabs on his younger teammate Sergej Levak, according to Italian media.

The Croatia youth international is primarily suiting up for Atalanta's U23 in Serie C, but Calciomercato believes that it is only a matter of time before Levak will be integrated into the first team squad of new head coach Raffaele Palladino.

The Italian outlet reports that Levak is showing that he is much too good for third-division football and claims that several European giants are monitoring his development, including Man Utd.

The 19-year-old only joined Atalanta from AS Roma in the summer, yet it seems that he could already be on the move again in 2026 if he continues on his current trajectory.

The publication describes the teenager as a 'Rodri-style' midfielder. Should he stay in Bergamo for another season, he is likely to be the heir to Brazil international Ederson.

Ederson expected to leave Atalanta

That is because the first-team star is expected to depart Atalanta in 2026, with agent Andre Cury recently confirming as much. He also revealed that Ederson will be available for a discounted fee as his contract is up in 2027.

Man Utd have been keeping tabs on the 26-year-old for years, and he would represent a more secure investment than the inexperienced Levak should the Red Devils indeed opt to raid Atalanta.

However, Man Utd are far from Ederson's only admirers as Man City have also been linked with the combative midfielder. His future will be one of the main storylines of the 2026 summer window.

As for Levak, he may be well advised to stay put at Atalanta and continue his promising development in the knowledge that a spot in the senior side is all but guaranteed to become available soon.
