Transfer Rumours: Arsenal eye blockbuster deal as Man Utd left stunned by Chelsea
The summer transfer window may have closed and the January transfer window may not open until 1 January, however recruitment departments across world football are still working overtime as clubs look to finalise their next piece of transfer business.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 21 October.
Arsenal target new forward
Arsenal are reportedly expected to pursue a new left winger next summer, despite the recent arrivals of both Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.
That is according to transfer news expert Graeme Bailey, who revealed to Arsenal Insider that Raphinha, Rodrygo, Nico Williams and Antoine Semenyo all remain on the Gunners’ radar.
The latter three were linked with a move to Arsenal over the summer, however deals failed to materialise and Mikel Arteta’s side have been tipped to rekindle their interest in 2026.
Man Utd stunned Chelsea eye Serie A goalkeeper
Chelsea are following long-term Manchester United target Zion Suzuki and could look to sign him next summer.
That is according to Nicolo Schira, who reports on his YouTube channel that the Parma goalkeeper is on Chelsea’s shortlist for 2026, despite rumours suggesting that Enzo Maresca’s side are likely to retain faith in Robert Sanchez.
Suzuki famously rejected a five-year contract offer from Man Utd in 2023 as he did not want to join a club where he wouldn’t be first choice.
Man Utd handed Angelo Stiller update
Manchester United remain keen on Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller, according to Sky Germany, and it is believed that the player will be keen to take the next step in his career next summer.
Stuttgart have set a first tentative price tag of €50 million for the 24-year-old, but this is subject to change.
The idea that a suitor could pay his €40 million release clause is being dismissed because Stuttgart can remove this clause by paying the player a €2m compensation fee. While not formally done yet, this is already being budgeted for.
Chelsea’s first January transfer close?
Juventus have reportedly identified Chelsea outcast Axel Disasi as a possible January signing as they look to find a replacement for the injured Gleison Bremer.
Local outlet JuveLive have confirmed that Disasi is admired by the Old Lady hierarchy and they have revealed that Disasi has been earmarked as a potential target on a loan with an option to buy deal.
In fact, it’s understood that Disasi is viewed as a “respectable replacement for Bremer”, with the Turin outfit reportedly eager to finalise a transfer amid his current status at Chelsea.
