OFFICIAL: Liverpool complete Milos Kerkez transfer

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has officially completed a summer move to Liverpool for a fee of €47 million.
The Hungary international has signed a five-year deal with Arne Slot’s side following an extremely successful spell at Bournemouth and he has become the fifth-most expensive left-back in Premier League history.
Kerkez started all 38 of Bournemouth’s English top flight matches last season, the only player to achieve this feat, and he has been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award after registering two goals and five assists during the 2024-25 campaign.
The former AZ Alkmaar defender spent two years at Bournemouth, following a €17.9m move from the Eredivisie side in 2023, and he has established himself as one of Europe’s most talented full-backs since his arrival in England.
The 21-year-old, who already has 23 senior caps for Hungary, was wanted by Manchester City, however he opted to secure a move to Liverpool instead and his arrival at Anfield has now been formally announced by the club.

Upon confirmation of his move to Anfield, Kerkez told the official Liverpool website: "I'm really happy.
"It's a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, [the] biggest club in England. I'm just really, really happy and excited.
"After this, I'll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can't really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season."
Liverpool complete signing of Milos Kerkez
Kerkez is expected to become Liverpool’s first choice left-back next season and his arrival could spell the end of Andrew Robertson’s career at Anfield.
The Scotland captain only has one year remaining on his current contract with the Reds and he has been heavily linked with a departure in recent weeks amid reported interest from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
If Robertson completes a transfer to the Wanda Metropolitano, he would become the second Liverpool player to move to the Spanish capital this summer, following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s €10 million switch to Real Madrid.
In response to Alexander-Arnold’s move to Los Blancos, Liverpool purchased Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong and he is likely to partner Kerkez as Slot’s preferred full-back duo next year.
