Chelsea to HELP Arsenal sign Marc Guehi as transfer confirmed

Chelsea are ready to greenlight the sale of Trevoh Chalobah in a move that could pave the way for Arsenal to sign Marc Guehi.
The Blues have flown out to the US for the Club World Cup. Unlike last summer, homegrown defender Chalobah has travelled with Chelsea stateside, which means that he is not - yet - part of their new-look 'Bomb Squad,' which includes the likes of Joao Felix and Raheem Sterling.
However, according to TEAMtalk, the Stamford Bridge club will still look to sell the 25-year-old this summer just as they sought to do last year. At the time, they ultimately had to settle for a loan to Crystal Palace before awkwardly bringing him back into the fold in January.
Chalobah, who is generally regarded as one of Chelsea's most reliable defenders, impressed in the second half of the season, but he will still be offloaded to generate pure profit.
Crystal Palace are interested in re-signing the versatile star, but the move is contingent on the exit of Marc Guehi.
Palace to fund Chalobah deal with Guehi
Guehi, himself a Chelsea academy graduate, is expected to leave Selhurst Park this summer after already being the subject of several bids from Newcastle last year. A host of clubs are interested, yet despite frequent links, Chelsea are not mentioned among his suitors.
The Blues instead appear to be focusing on Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato, who is also of interest to Arsenal, just like Guehi. Should Chelsea land Hato, it could pave the way for Arsenal to pursue Guehi and for Chalobah to head back to Palace.

Earlier this week, The Athletic revealed that Guehi is high up on the Gunners' shortlist after they, like Chelsea, missed out on Dean Huijsen. Arsenal haven't yet fully decided to pursue a centre-back signing, but Guehi is viewed as a potential market opportunity.
Due to having just a year to run on his contract, Arsenal view Guehi as an affordable option. TEAMtalk appears to confirm this by claiming that Palace could sell him for just around €53 million this summer.
