Erik ten Hag to BLOCK Man Utd transfer

Manchester United’s hopes of signing Patrik Schick this summer have been dealt a hammer blow as Erik ten Hag is reportedly eager to keep the 29-year-old at Bayer Leverkusen.
Schick enjoyed a prolific 2024-25 campaign, scoring 27 goals in 45 appearances, however he only started 19 Bundesliga games amid significant competition for places at the BayArena.
Man Utd were reportedly among the clubs to enquire about a potential summer move during the final few months of the season, but Ten Hag is determined to retain the services of the Czech Republic international.
The new Bayer Leverkusen boss, who spent just over two years in charge at Old Trafford before being sacked in October, has identified Schick as a key player and the 29-year-old views the Dutchman’s appointment as a fresh start, according to Sky Germany.
Schick has reportedly received offers from multiple clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia, however a contract extension could be on the table if he opts to remain at Leverkusen.

Man Utd’s next striker: Who will they sign?
With a move for Schick now unlikely, Man Utd will be forced to sign an alternative target.
However, their pursuit of Liam Delap ended in disappointment, following his decision to join Chelsea, while Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres have both reportedly rejected the chance to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Furthermore, BILD claim that Man Utd head of recruitment Christopher Vivell is close friends with Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche, which may help Man Utd in their pursuit of Ekitike’s signature.
Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojlund is set to leave Old Trafford amid significant interest from Inter Milan.
