Two out, one in as Fabrizio Romano confirms Chelsea signing

Despite already signing Liam Delap, Chelsea are still fully involved in this summer's epic striker merry-go-round.
The Blues signed the England youth international for €35 million earlier this month, but they remain in the market for another striker. This desire to bring in one more forward has put the spotlight on Nicolas Jackson.
The Senegal international was sent off against Flamengo on Friday, just four minutes after coming on as a substitute, with his actions only further stoking the speculation over his future.
Discussions over his long-term position at Chelsea are not directly linked to his red card, but rather because he is a man in demand. According to Sky Italia, Juventus, Napoli and other clubs are interested in the 24-year-old.
Jackson only joined Chelsea in 2023, but the Stamford Bridge club have shown an openness to make a quick profit on their investments, so they likely wouldn't be opposed to a sale at the right price. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Trevoh Chalobah is also a player that Napoli appreciate.
Emegha still set to join
Meanwhile, on the incoming front, Fabrizio Romano has once again reiterated that Emanuel Emegha is set to join Chelsea from BlueCo affiliate Strasbourg in 2026.
Romano claims that fresh links with Juventus are wide off the mark and that there has been no change in BlueCo's plan to move the Dutchman to Stamford Bridge next year.

Emegha will stay at Strasbourg for the upcoming season and then link up with Chelsea for 2026/27. The deal hasn't been announced yet, and Romano's clarification that he will join the Blues 'if all goes to plan' suggests that there are still some details to be ironed out.
The 22-year-old scored 14 goals for Strasbourg in Ligue 1 in the bygone campaign and will have surely attracted the attention of other clubs.
