Fabrizio Romano confirms TWO Chelsea transfers

Alfie Gilchrist will reportedly leave Chelsea on a permanent deal this summer following a loan spell at Sheffield United last season.
The Cobham academy graduate made 17 first-team appearances under Mauricio Pochettino during the 2023-24 campaign, but he was sent on loan to Bramall Lane last summer and Chelsea have now decided to offload him permanently.
That is according to football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed that Chelsea will sell Gilchrist this summer amid interest from several clubs in the Championship.
Gilchrist, who is capable of playing at right-back or centre-back, joined the Stamford Bridge outfit at the age of 11, however he has been deemed surplus to requirements thanks to competition from the likes of Reece James, Malo Gusto and Josh Acheampong.
A number of Premier League clubs were reportedly interested in signing Gilchrist on a permanent deal in January, following a promising start to life at Sheffield United, but a move to the second tier of English now appears more likely as things stand.

Second Chelsea deal confirmed
Meanwhile, Romano has also confirmed that Teddy Sharman-Lowe will join Bolton Wanderers on a season-long loan after signing a new two-year deal at Chelsea.
The 22-year-old, who is currently on international duty with England at the U21 European Championship, is yet to make his senior debut for the Blues and he spent last campaign on loan at Doncaster Rovers.
In addition, Chelsea defender Zak Sturge is on the verge of joining Millwall on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell at the club last season, as per The Express.
Chelsea have already finalised the permanent departures of Bashir Humphreys to Burnley and Marcus Bettinelli to Manchester City this summer, while they have signed Liam Delap, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez.
In addition, the Blues have also agreed deals to purchase Sporting CP winger Geovany Quenda and Corinthians defender Denner in 2026.
