Real Madrid pay big Alexander-Arnold fee

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Real Madrid will pay a sizeable fee to have Trent Alexander-Arnold available for the Club World Cup.

"Finally, Real Madrid can officially celebrate Trent Alexander-Arnold as their new signing. Six-year contract for Alexander-Arnold. A player that, internally at Real Madrid, they consider their new Galactico, the best right back in the world. This is the clear feeling at Real Madrid.

"Then, Real Madrid pay €10 million. This is the transfer fee to Liverpool to have the player at the Club World Cup. And Real Madrid will also pay the salary of Alexander-Arnold for June and July. So, a big investment by Real Madrid to have Alexander-Arnold immediately."

Liverpool close in on multiple deals

Romano then corroborated that Liverpool are closing in on the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz.

"Today, everything has been signed for a new right back at Liverpool to replace Alexander-Arnold and the player is obviously Jeremie Frimpong. The deal was already done. Now everything is formally completed. Also, the clubs signed all the contracts. Medical was done.

"Contracts are signed. Five-year deal. Frimpong is the replacement for Alexander-Arnold. All done with Liverpool. Liverpool remain busy with Milos Kerkez, a player they want to sign. Agreement with the player, negotiation ongoing with Bournemouth. I expect this deal to accelerate very soon.

"And also Liverpool are accelerating for Florian Wirtz. I remain very optimistic. I want Liverpool fans to be calm. OK, it's taking some time, but it's still a big negotiation for a club-record deal. Liverpool are working on it. The negotiation is underway with Bayer Leverkusen.

"The official bid is on the table. The two clubs are discussing, especially the structure of the add-ons, how to activate them, when to pay them, easy or difficult add-ons. The player has an agreement with Liverpool. The player wants to go to Liverpool. The player is ready to fly as soon as Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen authorise him."

Arsenal updates on Sesko and Gabriel

Benjamin Sesko

Next up, Romano revealed that Arsenal are in active negotiations with RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko and that a contract agreement with Gabriel Magalhaes is close.

"Talks started for Benjamin Sesko. Arsenal made contact in the last 24 hours with RB Leipzig. There was a meeting between the Arsenal director and the Leipzig director to have direct contact to understand how much Sesko can cost. The conversation is now starting.

"Then I also want to touch on Gabriel Magalhaes. Arsenal are almost done in terms of reaching an agreement with Gabriel over a new Deal until 2030. Working on that, advancing on that with a good feeling to complete everything very soon.

"Gabriel wants to stay, and internally at Arsenal, they love him, not just obviously [Mikel] Arteta and all the other people who know him very well, but I'm told also Andrea Berta, the Arsenal director, highly rates Gabriel."

Man City bid for Reijnders

Regarding Man City, Romano stated that progress is being made in talks for AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

"Man City are advancing in negotiations to sign Tijjani Reijnders, the number one target for Man City. They want him for the Club World Cup, so as soon as possible. For Reijnders, the conversation is underway. First bid has been sent, around €60m.

"Milan want more, but the two clubs are talking. Intermediaries are also working on the deal. So the negotiation is underway, is ongoing, to reach an agreement as soon as possible. This is what Man City want."

Al-Hilal want Hernandez

Another AC Milan player, Theo Hernandez, is being chased by Al-Hilal, according to Romano.

"Another player we have to follow is also Theo Hernandez because there is still interest from Al-Hilal in Saudi. Let's see what happens at Al-Hilal with the manager and with all the other cases at the club. But for sure, Hernandez is a player of strong interest for Al-Hilal.

"It depends on what Hernandez wants to do because now Hernandez has one year left on his contract at Milan. Milan have a new manager, Max Allegri, so let's see what's going to happen there for sure. But what's guaranteed is that Al-Hilal will insist for Hernandez. Now it's going to be important to see the position of the player in this case because Reijnders is quite open to going to Man City."

Al-Hilal willing to pay whatever it takes for Fernandes

Lastly, Romano revealed that Al-Hilal are ready to pay whatever it takes to sign Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes.

"Al-Hilal are in constant contact with the agent of Bruno Fernandes, Miguel Pinho. This contact started on Monday. From what I understand, the agent of Fernandes arrived in Saudi on Monday, so it's not in the last 24, 48 hours.

"This week has been a whole week of conversations, negotiations, discussions with a crazy salary bid from Al-Hilal. A really, really impressive salary for four years for Fernandes. Also, they are prepared to match what Man Utd could ask for Fernandes.

"My understanding is that Al-Hilal are prepared to pay a crazy transfer fee. Now it depends on what Bruno and Man Utd decide to do together. Al-Hilal are not the point here. If the agent of Bruno is going there, it clearly means that Bruno is open to listening.

"But Bruno, at the moment, has not communicated to Man Utd that he wants to leave. That's going to be an important part of the story. We have to see how Bruno will react to this proposal, together with the club. Because for Ruben Amorim, Bruno is absolutely an untouchable player.

"He absolutely doesn't want Bruno to leave the club this summer. It's on Bruno and it's on the club, Man Utd, to see how they want to assess the situation. They will need to talk now to the agent as soon as he is back from Saudi in the next hours."
