Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Jamie Gittens has informed his team-mates that he is set to leave the club this summer, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

The England U21 international has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks and the Blues are expected to intensify their pursuit of his signature ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, Arsenal are reportedly now in pole position to land Gittens as Mikel Arteta looks to bring a new left winger to the club. The Gunners are firmly in the race to sign the 20-year-old and Gittens believes a move to the Emirates Stadium may be better for his development than a Stamford Bridge switch.

Leroy Sane bombshell

Arsenal target Leroy Sane has reportedly changed his mind over signing a new contract at Bayern Munich.

The Germany international was expected to sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena, but he has now decided to change agents, as per Bild and Sky Germany, meaning his previous agreement is no longer valid.

Sane could still extend his stay at Bayern, however a summer exit is certainly on the cards and Arsenal are among those interested in a deal.

Arsenal are extremely worried about Real Madrid’s interest in William Saliba and “alarm bells are ringing,” according to Football Insider.

The Frenchman is Los Blancos’ dream centre-back target and although he has insisted that he remains happy in north London, Mikel Arteta’s side are reportedly desperate to tie him down to a long-term contract in order to ward off Real Madrid.

Manchester United have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

The Telegraph state that Ruben Amorim’s side have identified the Cameroon international as a key transfer target ahead of the 2025-26 campaign and they are prepared to battle for his signature over the next few weeks.
