Isak speaks out on Arsenal rumours
Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak has addressed the rumours that he will leave St James' Park next year.
The Magpies forward suggested that rumours of a move next year, to Arsenal or Chelsea, as well as reports of stalled negotiations over a new deal, are not quite true.
Isak is with Sweden for the international break, having scored four goals in four games for Newcastle in his latest matches.

It's been a rocky campaign for the 25-year-old, but now he is getting up to speed and showing just why rival Premier League clubs are so interested in him.
Isak is one of the best forwards in the world and has shown that he has been worth every penny of his €70m deal switch from Real Sociedad in August 2022.
It's been reported that Arsenal are fans of the player. It is becoming increasingly clear that they need to bring in a No.9 to ensure they can win a Premier League title.

There were reports, too, that negotiations have stalled between Newcastle and Isak over extending his deal, but the player has said that such stories are wide of the mark.

He said to Fotbol Skanalen via Sports Witness: “Throughout my career, I have never talked about or really commented on the move rumours during the season.
"There have been many such years where it has been talked about. It doesn’t affect me,” he said.
“I am commenting on my situation in Newcastle, and I have never had any problem there. I am fully focused on my task there and that we will have a fantastic season. There are still great opportunities for that. I have no thoughts about anything else.”
He was then asked about whether talks had stalled over a fresh contract with Newcastle. “The only thing I can say is that a lot of information and rumours often come out. Much of what I read is not true. So that’s about all I can say about the whole thing.”
