Chelsea manager Graham Potter has accepted that he risks the sack unless he can turn around the club’s disastrous run of form.

The Blues fell to yet another negative result on Sunday as they lost 2-0 to Spurs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Oliver Skipp’s long-range shot and Harry Kane’s tap-in clinched a comfortable victory for Tottenham in the Premier League.

This defeat for Chelsea has piled the pressure on under-fire coach Potter.

Potter has won just one of his last 11 games in all competitions, and two of the last 16 - losing 10 of these games.

Chelsea find themselves down in tenth position in the Premier League, 14 points off Champions League qualification.

Their chances of qualifying or next year’s Champions League look all but over unless they can win the competition this season. They trail 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their last-16 tie, meaning a recovery in the second leg in Stamford Bridge is by no means guaranteed.

There have been strong calls from Chelsea fans and sections of the media for Potter to be sacked.

Until now, it has been reported that Potter retains the support of owner Todd Boehly.

But Potter accepts that if the results continue as they are, then that support will be lost soon.

What did Potter say after Tottenham defeat?

"I know the responsibility," Potter told Sky Sports. "It's not good enough for this club. I take full responsibility for those results. It isn't good enough for Chelsea.

"I know the personality and quality in the team. A tough period of time. Confidence isn't massively high.

"[Pressure] is the same in any job anywhere. If results aren't good enough, which they aren't, you can't rely on support forever. My job is to keep going."

Chelsea are next in action at home to Leeds United on Saturday, with Potter knowing he must get a positive result if he is still in charge.
