Erling Haaland has had an incredible start to the season and the best club across Europe are already considering a move for him in the future.

The Norwegian joined Manchester City in the summer and scored 19 goals in 11 matches across all competitions this season, 14 of which have come in the Premier League.

He joined from Borussia Dortmund, and has made a big impact, inviting clubs such as Real Madrid to take an interest in him, but Pep Guardiola has said he is happy in England.

There were reports of a release clause in his contract, but Guardiola has denied such a thing, saying that it’s just rumours and that Haaland is going to stay at City for a while.

Haaland still of interest to Real Madrid

“There is no termination clause for Real Madrid or for any other team. That's all I can say. Rumors, people talking: we can't control that. The important thing is that Haaland has adapted well.

“I have a feeling he is incredibly happy here. That's what we try here to make people stay. May he be tremendously happy. He is incredibly loved by everyone and this is the most important thing,” Guardiola said.

At Real Madrid, though, there is total calm as they are prepared for any situation that may arise with regards to Haaland, and don’t have an immediate need to get him in.

According to reports, Real Madrid is Haaland’s ultimate dream, and the club are open to having him at the Santiago Bernabeu in the near future as well.

The forward wished for a move to Madrid this past summer, but was advised against it as Karim Benzema was the first choice there, with a future move a real possibility.

Haaland has a contract at Manchester City until 2027, but in 2024, Real Madrid will feel confident about getting the player over to Spain and will work on a transfer then.
