Celtic ultras group The Green Brigade have officially been invited to return to Celtic Park after a five-month ban.

In November of last year, 200 members of the ultras section were banned for six matches following "violent and threatening behaviour" at a home match against Falkirk in late October. In December, the ban was extended indefinitely due to further "safety incidents."

There has been back-and-forth conversations between the Green Brigade and the club hierachy since about a potential return, but, ultimately, a breakdown in communication led to an extended exile for the group.

On Tuesday evening, Celtic confirmed:

"The Club is pleased to confirm that a route has been found to lift the suspension of the Green Brigade with effect from Saturday’s game against St Mirren.

"On March 27th, at a meeting of Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group, the Club again addressed the suspension on the Green Brigade. The SAG confirmed that it did not object to the suspension being lifted, subject to three conditions being satisfied.

"These were that all applicable policies will be adhered to, including season ticket terms and conditions; agreement that members will comply with the safety and security operations; recognition that a match-by-match report will be submitted to the Safety Advisory Group, for as long as they deem it necessary.

"We communicated this to the Green Brigade and asked for their unconditional acceptance. They have today responded positively by accepting these conditions, as outlined.

Celtic interim chairman, Brian Wilson, said: “I am pleased we have reached this point where suspensions can be lifted with the agreement of Glasgow City Council Safety Advisory Group on terms which apply to supporters throughout the stadium.

“On that basis, a full and united Celtic Park can get behind the team at this crucial point in the season."

The Green Brigade's return comes at a time when the majority of Celtic fans are at war with the board.

Due to the team's underperformance on the pitch in 2025/26, the disastrous appointment of Wilfried Nancy, and numerous transfer windows in a row that have reeked of incompetence, the fans have demanded that several members of the board, including CEO Michael Nicholson, be removed from their posts.

Influential shareholder Dermot Desmond has also been a target for criticism from the supporters.

Tuesday also saw the release of the Scottish Premiership fixtures after the split, as Celtic strive to retain their title.

The Bhoys are currently third in the league behind Hearts and Rangers, but do face those two teams at home post-split.

Their post-split fixtures are:

Saturday April 25

Celtic v Falkirk (KO: 5.30pm)

Sunday May 3

Hibernian v Celtic (KO: 12noon)

Sunday May 10

Celtic v Rangers (KO: 12noon)

Wednesday May 13

Motherwell v Celtic (KO: 8pm)

Saturday May 16

Celtic v Heart of Midlothian (KO: 12.30pm)
