Erling Haaland transfer speculation heats up as Real Madrid consider £300m double deal
Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to sell Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo for a combined price of €350 million (£304m) next summer as they look to fund a move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Xabi Alonso’s side are expected to be extremely active in the transfer market in 2026, with the club tipped to sign a new centre-back and a new central midfielder to bolster the first-team squad available at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A new attacker is also on Florentino Perez’s wishlist and Haaland is Los Blancos’ dream target.
The Norway superstar has scored an incredible 25 goals in just 15 games for club and country so far this season, and Real Madrid are eager to beat Clasico rivals Barcelona to his signature next year.
Haaland’s current deal at Man City isn’t due to expire until 2034 after he signed a lucrative contract extension in January, however rumours of a move to La Liga have intensified in recent weeks and Real Madrid are willing to sell both Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo to sign him.
That is according to a blockbuster report from Spanish outlet Fichajes, who claim that Alonso’s side are “beginning to study the possibility of parting ways” with the Brazilian duo.
Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo to leave Real Madrid?
Real Madrid are reportedly ready to revamp their attacking roster with the signing of Haaland, although they will wait until the end of the 2025-26 campaign before making a final decision on the futures of both Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo.
The pair have registered a combined 11 goal contributions across all competitions so far this season, but Real Madrid believe they could generate as much as €350m (£304m) if they sell the pair next summer.
Vinicius has been heavily linked with a world record move to Saudi Arabia over the past few months, while Rodrygo is believed to have several suitors in the Premier League.
