Fabrizio Romano confirms €50m Real Madrid transfer is IMMINENT

Fabrizio Romano says that Alvaro Carreras’ move to Real Madrid from Benfica is imminent, while Nicolo Schira confirms that a €50 million transfer is also close.
Romano reports that Madrid have now made official club to club contact with the Portuguese side.
He says talks are well under way and a deal could be completed soon.
Romano adds that an agreement has already been reached with the left back on personal terms.
He foresees few problems in the negotiations between the clubs as there is an excellent relationship between Benfica and Real.
Romano’s report is backed up by Schira, who claims that it is only a matter of time until Carreras completes a €50 million transfer to Madrid.
Man Utd will earn a percentage of the transfer fee as part of a sell-on clause they put in their former player’s contract.
Carreras joined Benfica on loan from Man Utd last summer with a buy option for €6m that they activated this week.
They will now sell on the player, who emerged this season as one of the most promising left backs in Europe, at a massive profit.

The former Man Utd defender, who also previously spent time in Los Blancos' academy, has long been linked with a return to Madrid.
Madrid have been in the market for a new left back as the position has been something of a problem area for them last season.
It has already been a busy summer for Real Madrid after hiring Xabi Alonso as their new manager to replace Carlo Ancelotti, and signing Bournemouth wonderkid defender Dean Huijsen for €60m.
