Real Madrid identify Vinicius Junior replacement - and he plays in the English Championship
Real Madrid have reportedly identified their eventual replacement for Vinicius Junior and it isn't a £100 million superstar but rather a 16 year old who plays in the English Championship.
The Brazilian is reportedly ready to leave Spanish giants after the ‘complete breakdown’ of contract negotiations.
Vini and Madrid have been locked in contract talks for months but the player reportedly wants parity with Kylian Mbappe in terms of wages, and will walk if he doesn't receive it. The club, meanwhile, won't let him leave for free at the end of his current deal which has opened the door to a potential world-record transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
His relationship with head coach Xabi Alonso is also at an all-time low.
Sky Sport Switzerland transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri previously revealed just how difficult the situation is between Alonso and his player.
One source close to the Real Madrid dressing room claimed: “It is very difficult to imagine that Vinicius will still be at Madrid next season.”
Taking all this into account, Los Blancos are preparing for his departure by targeting 16-year-old wonderkid Jeremy Monga, who currently plays for Leicester in the English Championship.

August of 2025 was a huge month for Monga. He became the youngest player ever to start a match for the Foxes in a League Cup match against Huddersfield and in the same week, became the youngest goalscorer in English Championship history at 16 years and 37 days old.
