German side pulls off outrageous working rollercoaster tifo in crunch Bayern clash

Football fans all around the world prove time and time again that they can be as creative as they are loud and passionate.

That's why we have seen some truly remarkable tifo displays over the years.

However, most pale in comparison to VfL Osnabruck and their fully functioning rollercoaster tifo that featured in their German Cup clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

If you were to look at the sight from the opposite stand, you would be forgiven for thinking this was an actual rollercoaster with two people inside a small cart going up and down the rails.

But, Osnabruck simply dressed up two dummies as ultras and put them in the cart which, to be fair, did actually run smoothly along the constructed rail line.

The ride went up and down across the stand and was accompanied by music as the fans went crazy behind the goal.

The backdrop of the rollercoaster was a usual bannered tifo, but the completely real rail line spread across the bottom.

Though Osnabruck win the award for the most inventive tifo seen so far this season, they didn't win the match itself as Bayern won 4-1, with Harry Kane scoring a double.

Osnabruck's roots date back to 1899, making it one of Lower Saxony's oldest football institutions. The club is widely recognised for its distinctive purple and white colours, which have become an important part of its identity.

The team plays its home matches at the Bremer Brucke, a traditional stadium located in the Schinkel district of Osnabruck. The stadium and the club's passionate supporters are central to VfL's identity, creating a strong connection between the team, the city, and the surrounding region.

Throughout its history, VfL Osnabruck has experienced many highs and lows, including spells in the 2. Bundesliga and Germany's third tier.

They have never played in the Bundesliga.
