Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been offered the chance to take his talents to Saudi Arabia.

The Arsenal striker has been out of favour under manager Mikel Arteta, due to both poor form and disciplinary issues, and is ready to leave the club.

And, Al-Nassr appear to have given the Gabon international a way out of north London, according to CBS Sports.

The proposed deal is an initial loan with an obligation to buy for around £7 million, meaning an almost £50m loss on his signing from Borussia Dortmund in 2018.

Whether the 32-year-old would be interested in a move to Asia remains unknown, given previous interest from the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

But, he is not expected to receive such lucrative offers in Europe due to the sharp decline in his performances in recent months.

What next for Arsenal?

Aubameyang had been in Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations but returned to England for medical reasons, which should make the deal easier to complete.

"He contracted Covid and then the national team decided to bring him back here," Arteta said.

"We need to make sure the player's health is in the best possible condition and then we'll see what happens."

Once the issue has been resolved, the forward's £350,000-per-week contract is definitely something Arsenal will be looking to shift as soon as possible.

As such, it would come as a major surprise if the Gunners were to reject the offer.

In terms of incoming players, their focus is on acquiring Dusan Vlahovic in a £60m deal from Serie A club Fiorentina.

He would be the ideal replacement for not only Aubameyang, but also Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Ntketiah - whose contracts are running out at the end of the season.
