Tijani Reijnders confirms €70m mega transfer

AC Milan star Tijani Reijnders has confirmed he is joining Man City.
Manchester City have agreed a deal with Milan that will see them pay the Italian side an initial €55 million, rising up to €70m.
Reijnders has agreed a contract until 2030 worth €8m per season.
Reijnders to Man City
Reijnders confirmed the move after Netherlands' 2-0 win over Finland in World Cup qualifying on Saturday.
“I'm flying to Manchester on (Sunday) morning and then I'll be back in Zeist in the evening”, he told Dutch TV.
Reijnders will undergo medical tests before the transfer then is made official.
Pep Guardiola is a massive fan of the Dutch midfielder, who can play as a number 8 or in a deeper role.

City plan to invest heavily in their midfield this summer as they will lose Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan when their contracts expire.
Reijnders joined Milan from AZ in 2023 and soon developed into one of the best midfielders in Serie A.
In 2024-25 he was arguably Milan’s player of the season, scoring 15 goals and delivering five assists in all competitions.
These numbers are particularly impressive considering Milan endured one of the worst seasons in their history, as they failed to qualify for Europe and were knocked out of the Champions League in the playoffs.
