Reijnders to Man City transfer CONFIRMED by manager

Tijjani Reijnders is one of two Manchester City transfers that could be completed over the course of the weekend, with the deal having now been confirmed.
Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman has revealed details of the move, which had been a strong rumour in recent days. The Dutchman has confirmed that Reijnders will leave the international camp to have a medical with Pep Guardiola’s side, with a deal expected to be concluded soon with the AC Milan star.
Reijnders will play for the Netherlands against Finland on Saturday, but Koeman has confirmed he will fly to Manchester afterwards for a Sunday medical and the conclusion of his move to City.
“It’s a great step for him,” Koeman said in quotes relayed by VI, before revealing that he had personally recommended Reijnders, and other Netherlands stars, to City.
“They called me a few months ago. I’ve mentioned more Dutch players, but it seems to be limited to one.”
Liverpool star Cody Gakpo has also backed Reijnders to succeed in the Premier League.
“He has already proven his quality at AC Milan. He can now show it at Manchester City,” the winger said.
“I definitely think he can do it – I just hope he doesn’t do it too well!”
How much will City pay for Reijnders?
Di Marzio was first to report that Reijnders’ move to Man City was agreed, with Guardiola’s side set to pay around €70m to sign the player from Milan.
Although the midfielder only recently signed a new deal at San Siro, City are reportedly offering him a substantial increase on his current €3.5m-per-year deal.
In addition to Reijnders, City are also close to getting a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Ait-Nouiri over the line and are also working to secure Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki, who shone for France against Spain on Thursday.
Reijnders has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €55.6m.
