Transfer News LIVE - Every rumour, every done deal: Rashford and Gyokeres TODAY, Isak's HUGE demands
The big spenders will be out in force again this summer, with Real Madrid looking to back new boss Xabi Alonso, Chelsea keen to improve again after securing Champions League qualification, and Manchester United desperate to reclaim some kind of success after a disastrous season that saw them finish just three places above the relegation zone in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, with Man City also flexing their financial power to sign Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.
Chelsea have signed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, notably.
Some big deals happened earlier than usual due to the Club World Cup and the deadline for participation in that tournament is now over, though the window remains open.
The biggest deal so far this summer saw Florian Wirtz complete a blockbuster transfer to Liverpool from Leverkusen.
Some questions that will hang over the transfer window this season:
- Will Viktor Gyokeres leave Sporting CP?
- Who will sign Victor Osimhen?
- How much can Barcelona spend?
- Will top players want to join Man Utd?
- Will Arsenal sign a world-class striker?

Chelsea closing in on Hato?
Chelsea are closing in on Ajax's Jorrel Hato, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer expert wrote on X: “Chelsea have now made official club-to-club contact with Ajax for Jorrel Hato as next top priority! Hato, understood to be keen on the move and already prepared to accept personal terms at Chelsea. Negotiations are ongoing with a very good relationship between clubs.”
The player is expected to cost around €69 million.

Sesko an option for Man Utd
Benjamin Sesko has emerged as an unlikely option for Man Utd. According to German transfer expert Christian Falk, there is every chance a deal could be struck with RB Leipzig.
“It’s worth noting that Leipzig have to sell players this summer. They have a target to bring in €100M [£86.6M], and they have just two players in this range who can make the club money,” he told Caught Offside.
“Xavi Simons, of course, is one such footballer, with the other being Benjamin Sesko. So, it could be that the club has to sell both players in this summer’s transfer window.
“That’s why Manchester United will definitely be an option. Sesko is a fan of the Premier League and is prepared to make this next step.”
A new number nine for United?
Ruben Amorim wants to add a new striker to his ranks this summer despite the acquisitions of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
However, the Telegraph reports that any strikers targeted need to have Premier League experience which narrows down the shortlist slightly.
They have been linked with Ollie Watkins and Nicolas Jackson this week.

United close to exciting midfielder
Man Utd are looking to conclude a deal for Spanish midfielder Javi Guerra.
The Valencia man is likely to leave the Mestalla this summer after turning down a new deal with Los Che, with United offering around €25 million.
Journalist Sebastien Vidal reported on X:
“Man Utd are ready to finalise the £21.5m signing of Javi Guerra. The Valencia midfielder has given a verbal green light to join Old Trafford despite interest from elsewhere. The Red Devils want to wrap up the deal quickly.”
Mateo Joseph has asked to leave Leeds
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has confirmed that Mateo Joseph has asked to leave amid interest from Real Betis.
"He came to me and to us and said that he wants a new challenge and would like to have a move," Farke said at the club's pre-season camp in Germany.
"He has also hinted that he prefers a move to Spain due to his Spanish roots. And yes, obviously that was more or less his call. And therefore, okay, we just want players who are excited about the project to play with Leeds United in the best league in the world, here in the Premier League, who want to be here with us and want to be successful with us."
Mourinho praises Arsenal-bound Gyokeres
Jose Mourinho is full of praise for Arsenal-bound Viktor Gyokeres but warned the player he'll need to step up to the rigours of the Premier League.
“Gyokeres is a great player, I have no doubt about that," the Fenerbahce boss told Canal 11.
“Now, Sporting had a way of playing largely around him or adapted to him; I don’t know what Hugo Viana (sporting director) and Ruben Amorim's initial thinking was.
“But he’s a player with great potential; it’s clear that in England he’ll play against stronger teams, better players.”
Hojlund's Serie A escape route
Despite splurging cash on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, Man Utd are still desperate for a new number nine.
That will have consequences for Rasmus Hojlund, who has disappointed at Old Trafford since his big-money move from Atalanta.
He could return to Serie A via a loan deal, however, as Juventus, Lazio and former club Atalanta are all interested in a potential loan with an option to buy. A permanent deal this summer is complicated by Hojlund's wages at Man Utd. (Foot Mercato)
Isak wants HUGE payrise at Newcastle
Alexander Isak is willing to stay at Newcastle as long as the club increase his wages to a whopping €350,000 (£300,000) per week.
The Sweden striker has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, while a transfer to the Saudi Pro League isn't out of the question at this point.
So far, Newcastle have stood form on their £150m (€173m) valuation of their star forward, though Isak wants the Liverpool move so is demanding a pay rise. (TalkSport)
