The player himself is also desperate to leave in order to join a club where he can be an important first-team player.

Nkunku in talks with clubs

Plettenberg reports that Nkunku is already in talks with new clubs over a summer transfer.

Both Arsenal and Bayern Munich are interested in signing Nkunku, although the reporter hasn't confirmed that they are two of the clubs in negotiations.

The 27-year-old also has interest from Barcelona, according to the report, as well as a number of German teams.

Chelsea will accept offers of around €47 million for the France player.

Nkunku has had a difficult time at Chelsea since his €62 million move from Leipzig in the summer of 2023.

Injury issues limited him to just 14 appearances during his debut campaign (only two starts) and things got no better this term.

He has made just nine starts in the Premier League and is considered very much a rotation player at best by manager Enzo Maresca.

Although Nkunku has 14 goals in all competitions, most of these have come in the minor cups. For example, Nkunku has seven goals in 11 games in the Conference League.

He only has three Premier League goals, but Arsenal and Bayern Munich believe there is a top player inside who can emerge again at the Emirates.
