He will be at Carrington later today for media dutiesffic and to formally sign his contract.

United will officially announce the transfer on Sunday.

Mbeumo to sign for Man Utd

Having been in negotiations for weeks and had two bids rejected by Brentford, United finally bowed to the London club's demands and agreed to pay €82 million (£71m) for the 25-year-old attacker, with €75m (£65m) of this coming as an upfront payment and the remainder in bonuses.

“Manchester United reach agreement with Brentford to sign Bryan Mbeumo,” journalist David Ornstein tweeted, adding that the deal is now being “finalised”.

Fabrizio Romano, meanwhile, gave the deal his famous ‘here we go!’, and he has now added that Sunday will be the day the transfer is officially finalised.

Mbeumo has agreed a contract until 2030 with the option of another year until 2031.

Mbeumo enjoyed a superb 2024-25 season, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists.

Ruben Amorim plans to play Mbeumo behind a striker, but he can also feature out wide and as a centre-forward.

Man Utd have already confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha for a whopping €74 million, with the Brazilian expected to occupy one of the two No.10 positions in Ruben Amorim's side.
