And Romano revealed on his YouTube channel through the night that Man Utd have not yet responded to this bid with an offer of their own.

Man Utd response to Newcastle

Romano says that Man Utd have contacted Leipzig and Sesko's team to inform them that they are ready to bid for the striker themselves, but only when the player makes it clear that he wants to join the Red Devils.

As of yet, Sesko has not responded to Newcastle's bid or decided whether he wants the Magpies or Man Utd.

Romano expects the next 24 to 48 hours to be crucial in deciding the future of the player.

Man Utd and Newcastle are currently in a two-horse race for the Leipzig striker.

Newcastle see the Slovenian is seen as a replacement for Alexander Isak, who has requested to leave and is the subject of a potential British record move to Liverpool.

Man Utd also want Sesko to be their new number nine for the new season.
