David Ornstein reports in the Athletic on Tuesday that Rashford wants to quit the Premier League and is prioritising a move abroad.

Barcelona remain the favourites for Rashford among many sources in Spain, but Bild are reporting this week that Bayern Munich are now considering making a move too.

Bayern are in the market for a top-class winger having missed out on primary target Nico Williams, who is set for Barcelona.

Barcelona still want to sign another winger - with Rashford their favoured option - but Bild says that Bayern have now joined the race for the Englishman.

Where will Rashford go?

Ornstein adds that Rashford is open to leaving Man Utd on loan or as part of a swap deal.

The attacker prefers a move abroad also so he can compete for trophies at a club that is among the biggest in their country.

Before then, Ornstein says he plans to start pre-season training with Man Utd on July 7.

Due to Rashford's high salary at Man Utd, it is likely the club will have to subsiside any lost earnings at his new club.

Nicolo Schira reported recently that Barcelona have already offered Man Utd a loan with the option to buy.

Rashford is understood to be prefer a move to Barcelona this summer.

The 27-year-old Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan in January until the end of the season with a reported option to make the deal permanent for around €47.5 million.

However, Villa decided against making the move permanent and he has now returned to United.

The 27-year-old has immediately gone on the market as his Man Utd career is over.

He was placed on the market initially in January after the controversial interview with Henry Winter before Christmas.

The attacker admitted that he was “ready for a new challenge” and he was subsequently exiled from the squad before joining Villa.

Rashford impressed at Villa at the start of his loan, earning him a recall to the England national team squad.

In total he managed two goals and four assists in all competitions for Villa.

Rashford has made 426 appearances and scored 138 goals at Manchester United.

He has been capped 62 times by England, scoring 17 goals.
