Fabrizio Romano has confirmed two major Arsenal deals that will have a huge impact on Mikel Arteta’s squad and has hinted towards a blockbuster transfer to come.

Arsenal’s priority this summer is adding attacking players to their ranks, but while they weigh up whether to sign Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko or someone else entirely in attack, they have made quietly strong progress elsewhere in the squad.

Kepa will join from Chelsea while Christian Norgaard will arrive from Brentford in a deal that Romano has confirmed once again.

Thomas Partey leaves Arsenal today as planned since 10 days ago,” the football transfer news expert reports. “His contract expires, Thomas will leave as free agent… and Christian Norgaard will join the Gunners from Brentford.”

Romano has also confirmed FootballTransfers' exclusive that Mikel Arteta is exploring deal for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

"Arsenal have made contact with Eberechi Eze’s camp over the weekend," he tweeted. "Contacts are taking place for Crystal Palace star with AFC informed on deal conditions.

"Tottenham remain keen on Eze."

Romano delivers positive verdict over Mosquera

Romano also delivered more positive news for the North London outfit with regards to another potential signing.

The football transfer news expert says that Mikel Arteta’s side are rapidly closing in on a deal for Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera.

“Arsenal’s opening proposal for Cristhian Mosquera was rejected. They’ll return to get the deal done for something around €20-25m. Mosquera is out of contract in one year and won’t extend his contract and who has said yes to terms offered by Arsenal. He wants to go to the Premier League,” he explained on his YouTube channel.

I expect they will go very strong on this one. Mosquera is the central defender they want.

“Now, club-to-club they’re in talks. There’s been no agreement around €14-15m but Arsenal will be back.

“I expect they will go very strong on this one. Mosquera is the central defender they want.

“Don’t forget, Monday is Thomas Partey’s last day as an Arsenal player. Next week, we expect Arsenal to complete, formally, deals for Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard. They’ll be busy.”

In addition to Norgaard, Arsenal are expected to formalise a deal for Martin Zubimendi this week, while Mikel Arteta is looking at offensive additions, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike the latest player of interest.
