Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Chelsea SIGNING, Gyokeres BETRAYED, Man Utd ADVANCING

Football transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest on all the biggest headlines, with Chelsea getting another deal over the line, a big announcement at Arsenal and optimism at Man Utd.
Joao Pedro to Chelsea: Deal done
Romano has announced that Joao Pedro is heading to Chelsea after hinting that the West London club would be back in for him on Saturday.
He declared on his YouTube channel: “Chelsea have signed Joao Pedro from Brighton. The deal is done. It’s been agreed for £55m plus £5m in addons. The agreement is completed. Brighton have accepted the bid after rejecting Newcastle’s bid two days ago. Chelsea got the green light from the player and Joao Pedro strongly wanted to go to the club.
“He’ll sign a seven-year contract. The player is set for medical tests in Brazil, with people from Chelsea’s medical staff travelling there, and then Joao Pedro will travel to the US.
“Jamie Gittens cannot play the Club World Cup with Chelsea because he’s already registered with Borussia Dortmund but for Joao Pedro, this is going to be possible. He’ll join Enzo Maresca’s squad for the FIFA Club World Cup.
“Chelsea see him as a very interesting player.”

Chelsea want another attacker
Maresca’s side are set to sign another forward this summer, completing a full refresh of their attacking line.
“I’d not be surprised if Chelsea add one more player to their squad in the offensive positions this summer. They’re still looking at options,” Romano said.
“Let’s see what will happen with potential ongoings.
“Yes, they’ve signed Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, but I’d not be surprised if they decided to add one more. Chelsea will be active again on the market.”
Man Utd optimistic over Mbeumo
Manchester United are making steady progress towards signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford after extended talks over the Cameroon international star.
Romano explained: “Even on Sunday, the contacts continued between Manchester United and Brentford over Bryan Mbeumo. There is still no here we go, but Man Utd keep advancing. They’re going very strong and now the feeling is positive.”
Viktor Gyokeres saga turns ugly
The spectacular fallout between Viktor Gyokeres and Sporting CP shows no sign of relent, with the Sweden hitman’s relationship with the Lisbon giants taking another massive blow.
Romano explains: “For Viktor Gyokeres, it was a very tense Sunday. The president of Sporting announced that he won’t sell Gyokeres for €60m+€10m. The final fee will be something like €80-85m. But the answer from Gyokeres was that he spoke to Sporting and the president and told him that he doesn’t want to play for them again. He will not show up for training. He wants the pact from last year to be respected. He feels betrayed.
All this is good news for those Premier League clubs tracking him. Romano adds: “The player is giving his priority to Arsenal, Man Utd are still looking at the situation. More clubs are tempted by the Gyokeres case. The price is the crucial thing. Sporting have made their position but now there’s a big fightback from the player and his camp. It’s getting really tense.”

Romano makes Arsenal prediction
Although Arsenal have not made any official signings yet this summer, three deals are effectively done, with Romano declaring that he believes Cristhian Mosquera will soon follow from Valencia.
He says: “Arsenal’s opening proposal for Cristhian Mosquera was rejected. They’ll return to get the deal done for something around €20-25m. Mosquera is out of contract in one year and won’t extend his contract and who has said yes to terms offered by Arsenal. He wants to go to the Premier League.
“Now, club-to-club they’re in talks. There’s been no agreement around €14-15m but Arsenal will be back.
“I expect they will go very strong on this one. Mosquera is the central defender they want.
“Don’t forget, Monday is Thomas Partey’s last day as an Arsenal player. Next week, we expect Arsenal to complete, formally, deals for Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard. They’ll be busy.”
Liverpool deal stutters
Liverpool are clearly not in a hurry to sell Darwin Nunez, having put a big price on the head of the Uruguay international striker. This could put off Napoli, who are starting to look elsewhere for a No.9.
“Napoli’s interest in Darwin Nunez remains but they’re also advancing on a deal for Italian striker Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese,” Romano states.
“Napoli still want Darwin but feel the transfer price is too high. Liverpool want more than €65m, probably in excess of €70m. Napoli believe the numbers are excessive. They’re still working on the deal, but they have the other option in their hands.”
Here we go announced at Sunderland
Premier League new boys Sunderland are set to add to their squad again, having just signed Habib Diarra from Strasbourg.
Romano says: “Sunderland have closed one more deal. It’s Reinildo, the left-back from Atletico Madrid. It’s a two-year contract. One more addition for Sunderland.”
