Gyokeres threatens to STRIKE to force Arsenal move

Viktor Gyokeres has threatened to go on strike if Sporting Lisbon don't let him join Arsenal.
Duncan Castles revealed on the Transfers Podcast last week that Gyokeres is very upset at Sporting breaking a promise to sell him this summer for a fee of €60 million.

Castles adds that there is a clause in his contract that Sporting must pay Gyokeres a €6m penalty fee if they do reject offers of over €60m.
The journalist adds that Gyokeres is threatening to go on strike if Sporting refuse to sell him, a line also confirmed now by Portuguese publication A Bola and Fabrizio Romano.

Gyokeres to Arsenal?
Arsenal have made Gyokeres their number one striker target this summer, but have been left frustrated by Sporting's high demands over a transfer fee.
Record and Fabrizio Romano supported Castles' line by confirming on Tuesday that the player has told Sporting he has no plans to return to Sporting for the new season.

A public war has erupted between the player’s entourage and his club over his asking price.
Gyokeres’ agents claim that Sporting broke a promise to sell him for around €60m plus €10m in bonuses, while Sporting have denied a promise was ever made.
Due to the problems over this deal, Arsenal have been simultaneously working on a deal for Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and may instead sign him due to the problems surrounding Gyokeres.
The Swede is also wanted by Man Utd, Juventus and Saudi Arabian clubs but his preferred destination is believed to be Arsenal.
Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now after having an incredible season, scoring 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions, and leading Sporting to another league title.
This follows on from his brilliant form from last season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.
