Nico Williams to Barcelona and five transfers that could be completed this week

The transfer window might not be formally opened until 1 July but teams are still ramping up their business and closing in on big money deals this summer.
Having already seen the likes of Florian Wirtz, Rayan Cherki and Matheus Cunha all move for huge fees this summer, the transfers are expected to continue this week with plenty of deals at an advanced stage.
FootballTransfers takes a look at a number of transfers that could be concluded in the next seven days.
Milos Kerkez – Bournemouth to Liverpool
Milos Kerkez’s transfer from Bournemouth to Liverpool is all but confirmed, with the left-back set to fly into Merseyside on Monday for his medical.
Liverpool are expected to pay around £40 million (€46.6m) for Kerkez, with personal terms and a fee having been agreed earlier this month.

Kerkez is expected to sign a five-year contract at Anfield and the deal will be announced early in the week barring no complications with the medical.
Ilya Zabarnyi – Bournemouth to Paris Saint-Germain
Bournemouth could lose a third member of their back line this summer, having already seen Dean Huijsen move to Real Madrid in addition to Kerkez’s transfer to Liverpool.
Ilya Zabarnyi is on course to join Paris Saint-Germain after the French side agreed personal terms with the Ukrainian centre-back last week.
A fee has yet to be agreed with Bournemouth but negotiations are thought to be in the final stages, with PSG likely to meet the asking price of around €60m.
Jarell Quansah – Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen
The signing of Quansah in addition to the British transfer record capture of Wirtz last week has meant that Liverpool are now likely to shift their focus to outgoings to raise more funds.
With Arne Slot still looking to strengthen in defence and potentially up front, a deal has quickly been agreed with Bayer Leverkusen for centre-back Jarell Quansah after opening talks over a transfer last week.
Quansah has agreed a contract until 2030 with Leverkusen and they will pay Liverpool €40m including add-ons for the 22-year-old, with the Reds also thought to have inserted a buy-back clause in the deal.
Nico Williams – Athletic Bilbao to Barcelona
One of the longest-running transfer sagas of the year could finally be set for a resolution this week, with Barcelona closing in on a deal to sign Nico Williams from La Liga rivals Athletic Club.
Williams was a long-term target for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea but his wage demands led to the Premier League duo dropping out and Barcelona resurrecting their interest in the winger in recent days.
However, with Barcelona still figuring out how to finance paying Williams’ €58m release clause, Bayern Munich are hoping to take advantage of any uncertainty to hijack a move but the player could still seal a move to the Catalans this week in any case.
Paul Pogba – free transfer to Monaco
Having returned from an 18-month drug ban in March, Paul Pogba has been pushing to join a new team after having his Juventus contract terminated last year.

And the 32-year-old may finally have found his new side after agreeing to join Ligue 1 outfit Monaco on a two-year deal, according to reports in France.
Pogba is believed to be taking ‘significant financial sacrifices’ to secure a deal and the transfer should be completed imminently due to his status a free agent.
