Enzo Fernandez bombshell

Manchester City are ready to match Chelsea’s €140 million asking price for Enzo Fernandez, according to Football Insider.

The Argentina midfielder wants to reunite with ex-Blues boss Enzo Maresca and while City missed Chelsea’s imposed deadline of 14 August for a transfer, it’s believed that a transfer could still take place, especially given Fernandez’s desire to leave Stamford Bridge.

Man City have agreed a deal to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi for €100m, however they are now reportedly willing to pay a club-record fee in order to bring Fernandez to the Etihad Stadium before Deadline Day.

Nicolas Jackson approval

Nicolas Jackson has given the ‘green light’ to Atletico Madrid amid significant interest from Diego Simeone’s side, with Chelsea eager to finalise a permanent sale.

Aston Villa are also interested in signing the Senegal striker, and they are expected to intensify their pursuit of his signature amid Al-Hilal’s interest in Ollie Watkins.

Atleti are currently unwilling to match Chelsea’s €75m asking price, however Marca report that Jackson is keen to join the Spanish giants

Marc Guiu to Napoli?

Napoli are interested in signing Chelsea striker Marc Guiu but they have concerns over his €29million (£25m) valuation, according to reports in Italy.

Corriere Dello Sport understands Napoli have identified Guiu as an alternative to Arsenal ace Gabriel Jesus, who is their primary attacking target.

However, Massimiliano Allegri’s side will likely struggle to afford either forward unless they offload a host of players this summer.

Napoli are believed to be looking to raise funds by selling Noa Lang, Jens Cajuste, Jesper Lindstrom, Lorenzo Lucca, Walid Cheddira, Nosa Obaretin and Pasquale Mazzocchi.

The news comes after BBC Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella reported Guiu is poised to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.

Fiorentina eye Emmanuel Emegha

Fiorentina have asked for information about Chelsea striker Emmanuel Emegha, according to transfer reporter Nicolo Schira.

The Dutchman is currently expected to remain at Stamford Bridge this summer, following his arrival from Strasbourg, but he has previously been linked with an exit and Fiorentina are reportedly keen to explore a possible deal.

Emegha has missed the majority of pre-season after picking up a hamstring injury, however he has now returned to full fitness and could make his debut versus Fulham on Monday.

Aston Villa in Joel Ordonez talks

Chelsea will be required to act quickly if they want to finally complete a deal for long-term target Joel Ordonez, who has emerged as a possible replacement for Ezri Konsa at Aston Villa.

The Ecuador international has been linked with a Stamford Bridge switch for the best part of two years and rumours have previously stated that he could finally join the west London giants this summer.

However, the Blues instead opted to sign Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace in July and their interest in Ordonez has subsequently died down over the past few weeks. But, they could be forced into action if they want to beat Aston Villa to his signature before Transfer Deadline Day.

The Athletic report that Unai Emery’s side have approached Club Brugge over a possible deal for the 22-year-old and talks are likely to intensify shortly as Villa look to sign a new central defender to replace the aforementioned Konsa, who joined Arsenal on Friday.
