Trossard joins Besiktas

Arsenal have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the transfer of Leandro Trossard.

A deal between the two clubs worth €20 million had been in place for over a week, and the Gunners finally announced it after the Belgium international greenlit the transfer to Besiktas.

The Turkish club also confirmed that Trossard is joining. The 31-year-old arrived in Istanbul on Tuesday to complete his medical and formally sign his contract after verbally agreeing terms with Besiktas.

Man Utd deliver Rogers blow

Man Utd's signing of Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans is bad news for Arsenal, according to the Daily Mail.

The Belgian captain's surprise move to Old Trafford in a €41m deal has strengthened Villa's negotiation position regarding Morgan Rogers, who they insist is not for sale this summer.

The England star is Arsenal's dream forward target, but any deal would likely require a Premier League record fee, and the sale of Tielemans means that Villa have no financial need to sell.

Alvarez decision confirmed

Sky Sports has confirmed that Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez has no interest in returning to England.

Arsenal director Andrea Berta and manager Mikel Arteta are huge admirers of the 26-year-old, but Alvarez has his heart set on a move to Barcelona because his family wants to stay in Spain.

Atleti would be more open to selling Alvarez to Arsenal than to Barcelona, but the situation remains deadlocked because of the player's desire to move to Catalunya. As things stand, it looks as though Alvarez will have to stay at Atleti.

Newcastle annoyed with Guimaraes saga

Newcastle are annoyed with the Bruno Guimaraes transfer saga and are adamant that no price tag has been set, as per The Chronicle.

The Brazil midfielder has informed the club of a desire to move to Arsenal, but Newcastle do not want to sell. Recent reports have suggested that the whole situation has left them "flabbergasted" because, to date, there have been no direct talks with the Gunners.

On Monday, it was suggested that Newcastle would consider offers in the region of €100m, but the St. James' Park club dispute this. There is no price for Guimaraes because he is not for sale.

Bouaddi blow

Man City are in pole position to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, The Athletic reports.

Lille have upped their price tag for the Morocco international to around €100m in the wake of Elliot Anderson's record move to Man City and Bouaddi's impressive World Cup.

Arsenal view Bouaddi as a key target, but Man City are pushing hard for his signing. Contrary to previous reports, the Cityzens would look to integrate the 18-year-old into their team immediately rather than loaning him back to Lille for a year.
