Official: Arsenal confirm Leandro Trossard transfer agreement
Arsenal have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the transfer of Leandro Trossard.
The 31-year-old has greenlit a move to the Istanbul giants following the conclusion of Belgium's World Cup campaign. His agent had been in discussions with Besiktas over a contract for almost a week, and Trossard himself is now due to arrive in the Turkish metropolis imminently.
The discussions with the player came after Besiktas struck a deal with Arsenal believed to be worth €20m once all add-ons are triggered, which has now been officially confirmed by the Gunners.
"We can confirm that we have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the permanent transfer of Leandro Trossard," Arsenal wrote on their website.
"With a transfer fee agreed, Leo, 31, has been granted permission to travel to Istanbul to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his move to the Turkish Super Lig club. We will provide a further update once the transfer has been completed."
Besiktas to sign Trossard
Besiktas themselves had already announced Trossard's impending move on their website and on social media. With the Turkish club obliged to publicly disclose transfer dealings, they wrote: "Negotiations have begun for the transfer of Leandro Trossard.
"Besiktas Football Inc. has informed the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that negotiations have commenced with professional football player Leandro Trossard and his club regarding his transfer.

"The statement sent to the Public Disclosure Platform by Besiktas Football Investments Industry and Trade Inc. reads as follows:
"'Negotiations have commenced with professional football player Leandro Trossard and his club, The Arsenal Football Club Public Limited Company, regarding his permanent transfer.'"
In an update, Besiktas confirmed that Trossard is due to arrive in Istanbul on Tuesday evening. "Professional football player Leandro Trossard, with whom we have begun transfer negotiations, will arrive in Istanbul this evening for medical checks and to finalise the transfer process.
"The plane carrying Leandro Trossard will arrive at Atatürk Airport General Aviation Terminal at 7:30 PM [local time] this evening."
Trossard will leave Arsenal after three-and-a-half years during which he made 174 appearances, scoring 36 goals and producing 34 assists. His move comes after Belgium lost 2-1 to Spain in the World Cup quarter-finals on Friday.
