Leandro Trossard joins Besiktas

Arsenal are expected to sign a new left winger this summer and space has been created in their squad following confirmation that Leandro Trossard is joining Besiktas.

“Leandro Trossard is leaving Arsenal,” transfer expert Romano said in his latest YouTube video. “This is important news because Leandro Trossard has been a very, very, very good player for Arsenal. He has always been available, never suffered any serious injuries, and has always conducted himself professionally without creating any problems.

“He has been super professional, scoring goals and providing assists. We can only say positive things about Leandro Trossard.

“Now it is over between Arsenal and Trossard because he is set to sign a lucrative contract with Besiktas until June 2030. Here we go. The deal has been approved by the player and was agreed with Arsenal a few days ago.

“Arsenal will receive €18 million plus a further €2 million in add-ons, while Besiktas have now completed the agreement with both the player and his agent. Trossard will travel to Istanbul tomorrow for his medical and to sign his contract. He becomes a new winger for Besiktas and a new signing for coach Vincenzo Italiano.”

Arsenal want Christos Tzolis and Morgan Rogers

With Trossard leaving Arsenal, it opens the door for the club to pursue a new left winger, as confirmed by Romano.

“Trossard's departure also marks the beginning of Arsenal's summer business,” he said.

“The club are expected to sign a new backup winger, with Christos Tzolis of Club Brugge remaining firmly on the shortlist. The player is waiting for Arsenal after contacts took place in June, and he is now waiting to discover whether the club will proceed.

“Alongside that, Arsenal will sign a top-class winger. Morgan Rogers remains one of the leading names on their shortlist, although everything depends on what happens with Aston Villa, who currently value the player at around £130 million. We will have plenty more to discuss regarding Arsenal over the coming weeks.”

Youri Tielemans to join Man Utd

Manchester United announced the arrival of Andrey Santos on Monday, and he is set to be joined at the club by Youri Tielemans.

“The big development is Youri Tielemans joining Man Utd from Aston Villa,” Romano revealed.

“For those who enjoy the details of transfer deals, Tielemans is signing a five-year contract with Man Utd and it is also important to mention that he has already arrived in Manchester after travelling earlier today.

“Everything is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours. Tielemans is set to become a new Man Utd player after United triggered his £35 million release clause. I think it is an excellent signing for the club.

“Do not forget that Andrey Santos is already official, and as I told you previously, Ederson is no longer an option from Atalanta. That move to Man Utd is not happening.”

Antonio Silva and Benjamin Pavard latest

Meanwhile, Romano has confirmed that Antonio Silva and Benjamin Pavard are both on the market this summer.

“I also want to mention two defenders who could be on the move over the coming days and weeks,” he said.

“One is Antonio Silva. He has decided not to sign a new contract with Benfica. The club tried to reach an agreement, but Silva only has one year remaining on his current deal. The message coming from Antonio Silva, his representatives and his agent, Jorge Mendes, is very clear. He will not sign a new contract with Benfica.

“That means Antonio Silva could become a very interesting opportunity for Premier League clubs in the coming weeks. Clubs in England are paying very close attention to this situation, so keep an eye on it.”

Romano added: “The other name is Benjamin Pavard, the former France international and World Cup winner. Today, Inter manager Cristian Chivu said that Pavard remains their player and that they will evaluate the decision they made a year ago. However, the situation remains very clear. Pavard can leave this summer and could become another excellent market opportunity.

“So Antonio Silva and Benjamin Pavard are two names to follow closely over the coming days and weeks because both players are expected to leave their current clubs. They are certainly situations that could develop very quickly.”

Mason Greenwood transfer latest

Marseille forward Mason Greenwood has reached an agreement to join Fenerbahce and Man Utd are set to earn a major fee as a result of a sell-on clause they included.

“Let me mention Mason Greenwood because Man Utd have already informed Olympique Marseille, Greenwood's representatives and the player's legal team that they will not activate the buy-back clause included in the original agreement,” Romano clarified.

“That communication is a standard part of the process whenever another club is close to signing a player with a buy-back clause. As Fenerbahce are closing in on a deal for Mason Greenwood, they needed confirmation that Man Utd would not exercise their option. United made that position very clear yesterday.

“Man Utd are also set to receive more than €10 million from the move through the sell-on clause they negotiated when Greenwood left the club. You probably remember what I told you back in February and March: Man Utd were expecting player sales this summer to generate additional funds.

“They have also been a little unlucky because Manuel Ugarte looked set to leave the club before picking up an injury. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Even so, United will receive money from other outgoing transfers, including Mason Greenwood, giving them additional funds after already spending around £85 million on the combined deals for Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.

“So Greenwood is expected to join Fenerbahce, with the deal now in its final stages, while Man Utd will benefit financially from the transfer.”

Ferran Torres to PSG talks

Barcelona are open to offloading Ferran Torres and it’s understood that Paris Saint-Germain are working on a deal to sign him this summer.

“Regarding Ferran Torres, conversations are taking place between PSG and the player's representatives. What I can tell you is that Ferran would be open to taking on the squad role previously occupied by Goncalo Ramos.

“Ramos has moved to Milan, and he was the reliable attacking option available to Luis Enrique from the bench, whether for the final 15, 20 or 25 minutes of matches. Ferran Torres would be willing to perform a similar role, rotating regularly in Ligue 1 and also featuring in the Champions League whenever required.

“PSG want to ensure they have outstanding depth throughout the squad. That is why they have signed Lucas Digne and why discussions are continuing with the representatives of Ferran Torres.

“At this stage, nothing has been agreed between Ferran Torres and PSG. These are simply ongoing discussions between the club and the player's agents, who are also speaking with other interested clubs.

“So we have to be patient and see how the situation develops. PSG are considering two or three different options for that backup attacking position behind their first-choice forwards. There are several names under consideration, and remember that Bradley Barcola is another player worth monitoring this summer. He is not untouchable.”

Real Madrid continue to admire Michael Olise

Finally, Romano confirmed the latest update on Real Madrid’s bid to sign Bayern Munich superstar Michael Olise before the end of the summer window.

“Michael Olise has always been the Galactico signing in Florentino Perez's mind. The stories linking other players have never been as concrete as some reports suggested. The player Florentino Perez has admired for a long time, and continues to admire for both the present and the future, is Michael Olise.

“I tell you this every single week because the admiration inside Real Madrid is genuine. Florentino Perez believes Michael Olise has the quality, the style and the mentality to become a perfect Real Madrid player.

“Now it will be important to understand whether there is any possibility of opening the door to a transfer through discussions with Bayern Munich. At the moment, Bayern's position remains very clear. They want to keep the player and have no intention of letting him leave.

“So I think it will be difficult and complicated at this stage. However, if even the smallest opportunity arises, whether this summer, next summer or even in 2027, Real Madrid will be there because they truly believe Michael Olise is the ideal Galactico signing. As things stand today, though, Bayern Munich insist they want to keep him at the club.

“So we'll see what happens because everything depends on Bayern Munich. As of today, Bayern remain absolutely determined to keep Michael Olise, and their position has not changed.

“Real Madrid continue to admire the player and believe he has all the qualities required to become a future Galactico, but unless Bayern's stance changes, completing a deal will be extremely difficult. We'll continue to monitor the situation closely because, as always, anything can happen in the transfer market.”
