Exclusive: Fernandes deal still very much on

Man Utd remain the favourites to sign West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, FootballTransfers can reveal.

Tottenham have made a strong push to sign the Portugal international over the past week, but the Red Devils remain in pole position due to the significant progress they have already made with the player and West Ham.

Spurs are currently prioritising discussions with Newcastle over Sandro Tonali, so Man Utd still have time to finalise a deal with West Ham for Fernandes. Further progress is expected.

Nmecha keen on move

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha would be keen to join Man Utd this summer, as per BILD.

Man Utd and Man City, who have both been in contact with his camp for months, hold significantly more appeal than Newcastle, who have also explored a deal. Some reports have suggested that the Magpies have already left the race.

Despite Nmecha's willingness to move to the Premier League, a deal is difficult to pull off. He just signed a new contact and Dortmund don't want to sell. A fee in the region of €120 million may be required to get the Bundesliga club to change their stance.

Chelsea join Summerville race

Chelsea have entered the race to sign West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville, The Guardian understands.

The Netherlands international has emerged as a target for Man Utd after the Hammers' relegation and following his impressive World Cup performances, but Chelsea are now also in the mix.

The Blues are in the market for a forward, but any potential deal for Summerville is not expected to advance before the Dutch conclude their World Cup campaign. The race to sign him, though, is heating up.

Tchouameni opportunity?

Aurelien Tchouameni's possible exit from Real Madrid is gaining "traction," Sport claims.

Los Blancos are ready to listen to offers for the French midfielder due to their desire to make more major signings this summer. In order to be able to bring in more players, a sale is likely to be necessary.

This has opened the door for Man Utd to potentially get their hands on a player described as their dream target. However, a lot will ultimately hinge on Real Madrid's asking price, which isn't totally set in stone yet.
