Jarrad Branthwaite talks

Manchester United have held talks with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite over a potential transfer, a reliable journalist has confirmed.

The one-cap England international has been on the Red Devils' radar since Erik ten Hag's time at the club, with Branthwaite first emerging as a potential option for Man Utd after a successful loan at PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie.

He was seen as the club's primary defensive target in the summer of 2024, but INEOS refused to match the Toffees' hefty price tag of around €85 million. Despite his injury issues this season, Man Utd remain eager to finalise a deal for the centre-back during the upcoming summer window.

In fact, there was a meeting with the player's camp in February, during which it was suggested that he would be “interested” in a move, according to Ben Jacobs on The United Stand

Marcus Rashford update

Marcus Rashford has been handed the chance to secure his Barcelona future in a period of games that has been branded “defining” for the on-loan Manchester United star.

Raphinha was struck down with injury during the international break, and Rashford is poised to benefit.

Although Rashford has impressed since moving on loan to Barcelona last summer, scoring 10 goals and laying on 11 assists in 39 games, he has not yet done enough to secure his future at Camp Nou.

A combination of Rashford’s wage demands and Barcelona’s ongoing financial strife has left his future in doubt, yet he is now the player the Catalans will look to step up during this vital period of the season.

“Rashford was signed for these specific moments. Now is the time for him to show his best form again,” journalist Lluis Carrasco explains.

“With Raphinha injured, everything falls on him. Not just football, but emotion, pressure, expectation. Three games vs Atletico will define him… It might feel exaggerated, or unfair, but that's Barca.”

Bruno Fernandes decision

Bruno Fernandes’ future at Man Utd remains uncertain and club officials are at odds over whether to retain the Portugal superstar this summer, as per CaughtOffside.

Fernandes’ current deal at Old Trafford is due to expire in 2027 and clubs across world football are monitoring his situation, with the Saudi Pro League, in particular, keeping a close eye on a possible move.

A further season at Man Utd hasn’t been ruled out, but the club’s hierarchy are divided over the best course of action. It’s claimed that some insiders are desperate to retain their club captain, while others believe this summer is the right time to sell him in order to reinvest the money earned through a sale into other areas of the squad.

Youngster signs contract

Man Utd youngster Jaydan Kamason has officially signed a new contract at the club until 2028, with the option for a further year.

Kamason has made 15 appearances for Man Utd’s U21 side this season, but he is yet to make his first-team debut for the Red Devils.

Morgan Rogers update

Man Utd target Morgan Rogers is reportedly ready to leave Aston Villa this summer, despite signing a new long-term contract last year.

The England international penned fresh terms until 2031 in November, but he continues to be linked with a high-profile exit and it’s claimed that he is now willing to depart Unai Emery’s side in order to join one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

Rumours have previously indicated that the 23-year-old is likely to remain at Villa for at least another season, but The Sun report that is now open to leaving the club in order to join one of the “Premier League’s biggest hitters.”

It’s understood that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all long-term admirers of the England superstar, while Man Utd are also involved in the race to sign him amid their pursuit of a player capable of replacing Bruno Fernandes if he departs Old Trafford this summer.
