Man Utd target Murillo after Martinez injury
Manchester United have stepped up their search for a new centre-back in the wake of an injury to Lisandro Martinez that threatens to keep him out for an extended period of time.
Nottingham Forest’s Murillo has emerged as an early front-runner to be signed by the Old Trafford club, with the Brazilian set to provide them with an instant upgrade in the heart of their defence.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Real Madrid are also monitoring the centre-back.

Arsenal study Livramento transfer
Arsenal’s interest in Tino Livramento, which was exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers in January, has been confirmed by The Telegraph.
The Newcastle right-back has yet to show any intention of renewing his contract with Eddie Howe’s side, although this only expires in 2028.
The Gunners, meanwhile, are prioritising the full-back areas to be strengthened ahead of the transfer window in the summer.
While Manchester City have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, Fabrizio Romano says that their interest has passed.

Aston Villa making moves to sign Brandt
Aston Villa have emerged as serious contenders to sign Julian Brandt from Borussia Dortmund, with the Germany international destined to become a free agent in the summer, Football Insider reports.
Barcelona and Arsenal are also taking a good look at the 29-year-old.
