Chelsea prepare €50m offer for Liam Delap replacement
Chelsea remain interested in finalising a deal for Palmeiras striker Vitor Roque and they are reportedly preparing to submit a €50 million offer this summer.
The Brazil international, who returned to his homeland last year following an ill-fated spell with Barcelona, has emerged as a top target for Liam Rosenior’s side in recent months and the Blues are ready to accelerate their pursuit of his signature ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Chelsea have already agreed deals for Emmanuel Emegha and Dastan Satpaev to join the club from Strasbourg and Kairat Almaty respectively this summer, however they remain eager to bolster the options available at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Jackson is expected to be sold on a permanent deal once his loan spell at Bayern Munich ends, while rumours have tipped Marc Guiu to depart after failing to establish himself as a first-team regular.
In addition, it has been speculated that Liam Delap could be sold after just one year at the club following an extremely underwhelming debut campaign following his arrival from Ipswich Town for a fee of €35.5m.
The former England U21 striker has only scored three goals in 33 appearances for Chelsea and he is firmly behind fellow summer signing Joao Pedro in the pecking order as things stand.
Chelsea want Vitor Roque
Roque has scored 25 goals in 69 games for Palmeiras and the Chelsea board are keen to bring him back to Europe this summer amid Delap’s woes.
In fact, according to Spanish publication Fichajes, Chelsea are ready to submit a €50m bid for the 21-year-old in an attempt to finalise a deal with Palmeiras before any other interested clubs are able to beat them to his signature.
However, the Brazilian would likely be forced to accept a rotation role behind his compatriot Pedro in west London.
