Enzo Fernandez wants Madrid

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has dropped a fresh hint that he could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, stating that his dream is to move to Madrid.

Real Madrid have been one of the sides most regularly linked with the Argentine, who has now suggested that a switch to the Bernabeu is appealing to him after hinting that he could depart west London at the end of the season.

When asked which city he would most like to live in during an interview with Marcos Giles for Kick (via InfoBae), the 25-year-old Chelsea midfielder explained: “I really like Madrid. It’s similar to Buenos Aires.”

He was then asked about clubs he could play for, but refused to be drawn on that question, simply smiling instead.

Nathan Ake could return

Nathan Ake could be set to secure a surprise return to Chelsea if reports are to be believed.

The Dutchman spent six years at Stamford Bridge before being sold to Bournemouth and he could be available this summer with his current contract at Manchester City due to expire in 2027.

A move abroad has been touted, but Ake is now rebuilding his house near Chelsea’s training ground, according to The Sun. It’s claimed that he is planning for the “revamped mansion” to become his main residence, suggesting that he will be moving back to the south of England this summer.

It’s understood that Ake purchased a £4m property in November and he has reportedly submitted plans to demolish it in order to build a new seven-bedroom mansion.

Cole Palmer latest

Manchester United are “actively exploring” a summer move for Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer, as per TEAMtalk.

The England attacker has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford switch in recent months and they are ready to pursue a deal after learning that he isn’t satisfied in west London.

Man Utd have reportedly been approached by intermediaries close to Palmer, and the Red Devils believe he would be an excellent addition to the first-team squad available to Michael Carrick.

However, Chelsea have no intention of selling the 23-year-old and would demand a fee of around €175m to begin discussions.

Monaco midfielder wanted

Enzo Fernandez is increasingly talking up a departure from Chelsea, but a replacement may already be lined up in the shape of AS Monaco star Lamine Camara.

According to CaughtOffside, one player that is being closely monitored by the Stamford Bridge club is Camara, and the Senegal international is expected to be on the move this summer.

Camara is being followed by numerous clubs, including Liverpool, and he is likely to take the next step in his career this summer. Monaco won't stand in his way, but only at the right price.

The Principality club are under no pressure to sell Camara, so it could require an "astronomical" fee to prise him away from them. The report claims that a fee in the region of €65m-€75m is currently being touted.

Liam Rosenior sack verdict

Ex-Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has urged his former club to retain faith in Liam Rosenior amid rumours that he could be sacked following four consecutive defeats in all competitions.

Reliable reports have suggested that Chelsea have no intention of sacking Rosenior despite their current slump, with the Englishman set to be given until at least 2027 after impressing the hierarchy during his spell in charge of their sister club Strasbourg.

However, rumours have speculated that the search for a new manager will take place if Chelsea fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, which is a real possibility given their tricky fixture schedule for the remainder of the campaign.

Despite this, Hasselbaink wants his former club to give Rosenior plenty of time to implement his methods.

Eduardo Camavinga update

Eduardo Camavinga has been linked with a Real Madrid departure for several weeks and Spanish publication Defensa Central have confirmed that Florentino Perez wants to sell the Frenchman in order to raise transfer funds.

It’s claimed that Chelsea and Man Utd are the two clubs who have registered the most significant interest in signing Camavinga this summer, and they have both informed Real Madrid of their willingness to submit an offer worth €70m.

The France international, however, is yet to express his desire to depart the Bernabeu, while Real Madrid haven’t initiated formal talks with either Chelsea or Man Utd, despite their desire to finalise a deal for Camavinga this summer.
