Bukayo Saka agrees new Arsenal contract
Arsenal have reached an agreement with Bukayo Saka over a new long-term contract at the club, according to David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano.
The England international has been locked in talks with the Gunners hierarchy over a new deal for several months and a full agreement has now been reached between all parties to extend his current deal, which is due to expire in 2027.
That is according to Ornstein, who has revealed that Saka’s new deal will run until June 2031 and will be officially announced by the club shortly.
Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed this news and has revealed that a verbal agreement has been in place for months, with the contract now approved by Arsenal’s legal team.
As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers last year, Saka will receive a hefty pay rise with his new deal at the Emirates Stadium to recognise his status as one of the best players in world football.
Saka, who made his first-team debut for Arsenal against Vorskla Poltava in Europa League back in 2018, has racked up a whopping 290 senior appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 77 goals and providing 77 assists.
Arsenal target three new contract agreements
After finalising a contract agreement with Saka, Arsenal will turn their attention to agreeing similar deals with fellow stars Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.
Both players will be out of contract in the summer of 2028 and the Gunners hierarchy are determined to finalise fresh terms with the duo as they look to retain Mikel Arteta's most important players at the club.
David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard have all signed new contracts at Arsenal since the end of last season, and Saka, Rice and Timber are expected to follow suit in the near future.
