Arsenal submit enquiry for €70m forward
Arsenal have reportedly submitted an enquiry over a potential deal for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.
The France international, 23, has been heavily linked with a Premier League switch in recent weeks and rumours suggest that he could be open to leaving the Parc des Princes in 2026 if the right offer arrives.
Chelsea were keen to acquire Barcola’s signature before his move to PSG in 2023, while Arsenal and Liverpool have emerged as possible suitors for the 23-year-old during his time with Luis Enrique’s side.
In fact, both Premier League clubs have now enquired about a transfer for Barcola this year, as per a report from TEAMtalk.
Barcola has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal at PSG and the French giants are reportedly set to schedule contract extension talks as they look to tie him down to fresh terms and end reports of a departure.
Bradley Barcola to leave PSG?
Barcola has only started nine of PSG’s 17 Ligue 1 matches so far this season and rumours of an exit have intensified in recent months amid competition for places from the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and reigning Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele.
As a result, Arsenal and Liverpool are both eager to pounce on his current situation at the Parc des Princes as they look to finalise the signing of a new left winger this year. However, PSG insist that Barcola isn’t for sale, according to TEAMtalk.
The Frenchman has notched five goals and provided four assists in 23 matches across all competitions so far this season, and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €69.6 million - which is only the ninth-highest in the PSG first-team squad.
In addition to Barcola, Arsenal and Liverpool are also both interested in signing RB Leipzig wonderkid Yan Diomande this year, who has been tipped to leave the Bundesliga outfit for a fee in excess of €100m.
