Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in Galatasaray defender Wilfried Singo, according to Turkish media.

The 24-year-old has been turning heads in recent times, not least when he opted to head to Turkey in a whopping €30.8 million deal in the summer. Singo was one of the marquee arrivals of Galatasaray's record-breaking window, which saw them make their three biggest signings in club history.

At €30.8m, the Ivorian was slightly more expensive than goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, who cost €27.5m. Both fees pale in comparison to the €75m that was splashed on Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen, however. Like Osimhen, Singo has been a successful reinforcement for the Istanbul giants.

The former Monaco star has made nine appearances this season, and only once has he conceded more than one goal. This came in the 5-1 Champions League loss to Eintracht Frankfurt, a result that is very much an outlier so far this term.

According to Sabah, Singo's form isn't going unnoticed in England. Several Premier League giants have taken a liking to the versatile defender and a plotting a move.

Arsenal, Man Utd want Singo

The Turkish publication claims that the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd have all been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old in recent times. However, since he only arrived at Galatasaray in the summer, it won't be easy to prise him away.

Singo is under contract until 2030 and is believed to have a €60m release clause, although it is asserted that the Istanbul outfit could accept €50m to sell him.

Given Galatasaray's unprecedented summer spend of almost €150m, there are some question marks over their financial situation. Former striker Alvaro Morata accused the club of failing to honour their contractual obligations when he left in August.

It is claimed that Singo's suitors could already come knocking in January, but given the significant outlay required to sign him, this seems unlikely. All three clubs - Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd - are expected to have a quiet winter window after spending lavishly in the summer.

Nevertheless, the Ivorian will be one to watch going forward. If he keeps impressing at Galatasaray, he could be on his way to the Premier League before long.
