CONFIRMED: Man Utd have signed the 'new Moises Caicedo'
Incoming Manchester United signing Cristian Orozco is earning comparisons to Chelsea superstar Moises Caicedo.
The Red Devils have moved swiftly to snap up a hugely exciting talent, signing Orozco from Colombian outfit Fortaleza before he has even made his senior debut for the club.
For just $1 million, Man Utd have managed to bring in a player who is earning rave reviews across South America. The captain of Colombia's U17s, Orozco will only be able to officially move to Old Trafford next summer after turning 18.
On Saturday, the teenager was spotted with Man Utd scout Giuseppe Antonaccio as they flew out to Manchester to finalise the young midfielder's signing. He will have the opportunity to familiarise himself with his new surroundings before heading back to Colombia.
According to Ecuadorian outlet El Diario, Orozco is being described as the 'new Moises Caicedo,' which is spectacular praise for the youngster, given that the Chelsea star has become one of the best midfielders in the world.
Orozco could be the new Caicedo
The report points out that Orozco is much more in the mould of the Ecuador talisman than, for example, Man Utd midfielder Casemiro, who is viewed as being slightly more old school.
Like Caicedo, Orozco is not merely a destroyer. He is a complete midfielder, and officials at Man Utd are confident that his career can take a similar trajectory to the Chelsea star's.

Indeed, people at the club feel that Man Utd should do more to discover talents like Orozco while they are still playing in South America. The fact that they weren't able to pounce on Caicedo before he made it big is seen as a mistake of the past that ought not to be repeated.
If Orozco can indeed match the 24-year-old's potential, the $1m fee will be seen as a spectacular bargain. By comparison, Chelsea had to pay a then-British record €116m to sign Caicedo from Brighton.
